It is a very neat, modern and refreshing room with a beautiful view. The hosts are excellent. The hostess drops in regularly to make sure everything is still right and also tells about all the dinner specials at the local restaurants. We had a great stay and will definitely stay there again if we go to Greyton.

The place is tastefully furnished. It's perfect for a sleepover. There is a coffee/tea station and the hostess made muesli and yogurt available for us. There are no facilities to prepare your own food and the fridge is very small.

"I booked in Eudaimonia for me and my daughter who turned 40 to introduce her to the beautiful Greyton. Marianne made an effort in advance with restaurant information and traffic information to make our weekend successful. On arrival we were warmly received by Marianne. Our unit was stocked with delicious fresh fruit, yogurt and milk in the fridge and a variety of teas and coffees to choose from, plus a little present for my daughter's birthday, made by the best chocolatier around."

There is so much to experience in Greyton and Genandendal. The Saturday Market is an experience and the friendliness of the exhibitors and people in the town and surrounding area is outstanding. A great experience on a rainy weekend was the Post Office Lodge Hotel where we could sit in front of a cozy log fire and enjoy a drink in this historic place. Highlights are the small shops that one can walk and look through and not feel pressured to buy. The purchase comes naturally. And then I had the privilege of being able to play on the oldest organ with the oldest organ pipes in the little church in Genadendal. Thanks to the "Master of Music". It is definitely worth visiting the small place, seeing the church as well as the museum. Feel free to read about the history of Genadendal. In conclusion, Eudaimonia will not disappoint you.

"Good value for money and very helpful owners."

We stayed over for 2 nights for the Pie Run. We were able to store our bikes in the garage and Mariana was very helpful. The solar power was a life saver because the next day the town's power was out almost all day and the Pie Run was very cold, wet and muddy. The hot shower was heavenly and we were able to heat food and boil water. Mariana was happy to help with black bags and buckets for our dirty clothes and if the power hadn't been out she might have offered to wash them for us, that's how accommodating they were. Of course I also have to say that the rusk was delicious. Thank you very much! We had no reason to complain.

Place is very central, you can walk to the shops and restaurants. We felt very safe in the day and at night.

We experienced lovely surprises and accommodation over three days in Greyton! Marianna is a hostess with unprecedented kindness and not only a source of inspiration, but also made our stay one to always remember. Eudaimonia ticks all the boxes for a great stay. Marianna left milk, biscuits, fruit, a variety of teas and coffees, as well as yogurt for our use. The unit was very spacious, extremely neat and tastefully furnished and decorated. The bed sleeps wonderfully with good bedding and pillows. The open veranda with benches outside the unit gives you a fantastic view of the adjoining beautiful gardens and the mountains. It's a place where you can just rest and relax. Marianna was very helpful with great help and advice on our questions regarding places to eat and walking routes. The location is great, quiet and very central. Secure parking on yard under trees. Wi-Fi was good and unit always had power due to good solar panels that provide power during power outages. Marianna even gave my wife a gift and flowers on her birthday. Floors creak a little and hadidas abound that rattle at odd times, but that makes the experience that much more to remember. I recommend Eudaimonia for good, friendly and cost-effective accommodation!

Our hostess, Mariana, made us feel absolutely at home. It was very pleasant and she was able to tell us a little more about the town and its history and things. She made a reservation for us at a restaurant with 'live' music, it was a very nice evening. Despite the fact that this is not a "B&B", she provided us with plenty of fresh fruit, biscuits and coffee and this spread. We had a great time staying here and would recommend Eudaimonia to everyone! It is located in the heart of the town and everything is within walking distance. Fantastic!

We have stayed in Greyton twice before. However, the stay at Eudaimonia felt like home to us. The accommodation was particularly reasonable for what we received. The host and hostess made us feel very much at home, also recommended us delicious places to eat and also gave us advice on the roads we can drive. What impressed us even more was the delicious yoghurt, bottles of water in the fridge, fruit, biscuits and good quality coffee and tea that were available. Although it was a very cold weekend, we really enjoyed it and we definitely intend to come again!

Greyton has the most beautiful scenery and literally lies on the mountain. The historic houses are something to look at, one lovelier than the other with the most beautiful tree-filled gardens! I can highly recommend Greyton if you are a history and nature lover.

Mariaan's place to stay is clean, tidy and has everything one needs for a time away from home. We really appreciated the delicious biscuits and the yogurt in the fridge. Although it rained and we couldn't use the nice roof garden with the nice bench, it should be lovely to see the sun set from there. The horse in front of the window in the main street was a big surprise. Thank you very much.

Attention to detail. The nicest quality bed you could ask for. Friendly and helpful reception. We liked that the residence is not in the middle of the busy part of town, it makes it more private and peaceful. Also nicely located for the hiking trails. Will go back there again.

This was a superb find for us. The hosts were amazing and the position was perfect for us. The only issue we had was that there was no WiFi. Unfortunately it was one of the things we looked for when booking. You also only get a microwave so no cooking or meal prep, so be prepared to have to go out for meals.

We had a great stay at Bert and Mariana, even with the Eskom ghost that was so busy. Luckily we had the option of ignoring load shedding and just sit on the deck and watch the sunset and see the moon coming up behind the mountain. Thank you for a great weekend! Your place is beautiful, your company is friendly and stimulating and the house and garden is great. We hope to come again soon.
