We had a great stay, there was just a misunderstanding with the parking. The remotes work on the wrong gates. At least Sanna came to help us every now and then. We would have liked to use the wifi, but could not find the password anywhere.

We had a pleasant stayover at Evening Star Guest Units. The room was comfortable and well-presented. The only snag we had is trying to park our big double-cab LDV into a very small space, making it very difficult to exit the vehicle. We will truly recommend it.

Room 20 where I spent the night was great. However, the bedside lamp's switch was damaged and didn't work and the TV's remote didn't work either, but otherwise it was great. Friendly receptionist.
Parking a bit small for a van, but otherwise we had a very nice stay. Enough for the night, we will definitely use the place again. The Netflix was a big highlight for our little one.
There was a continuous drip of water in the roof, maybe due to the rain or geyser? The fridge makes so much noise that it wakes you up. You will have to look at the steel gate's lock, one day it will get stuck and not open. The person upon our arrival was very helpful, Sanna I think was her name.

Rina was very professional and helpful. Warmed up the bedroom before we arrived after dark. The fresh milk and stove were a bonus. Would like to be warned that they do not provide soap/shampoo. Went back for a second night as our business in Bloemfontein was not done.
Enjoyed staying at that apartment but had an issue with the gate.
Would recommend adding a fan or aircon for people out of town who are not used to the Bloemfontein heat.

I would advise that you visit this guest house and check out the room (just to the left of reception) that was offered to us. The sliding door could not be locked as the lock was broken, neither the bedroom nor the bathroom have windows - no aircon, just a fan to ensure ventilation, there was a very unpleasant smell in the flat, the security door to the broken sliding door was rusted badly - not fit for anyone to live in! Both the intercom units at the gates were not working - we had to call the cell no. on the name board to talk to someone and a big hole in the perimeter wall. I left the guest house and went out to look for something else. The Bloemfontein Agricultural Show was on and I had a real battle to find something more appropriate. I would definitely NOT make use of your agency to book accommodation in future. I want you to please take the photographs on your website and compare it to the real thing when you visit this guest house. I insist that you please refund me with the full deposit amount as what is offered on the website is totally different from what I have experienced!
We travel with a Pekinese dog and the accommodation was ideal for our needs. Everything was in tip top shape and our hostess was friendly and very helpful. Comfortably close to the N1 and within minutes we were on our way to the beach. Definitely value for your money.

Not really pet friendly because you had to hold the room door all the time to prevent our puppies from running out. It also makes the room very dark as well as making you feel anxious because it. A double door that can open top and bottom would be the solution, or even a security gate. The room door could not lock from the inside, the shower door could not close completely, the soap dish in the shower could not be emptied of old dirty water and the room's ceiling was very low. Otherwise, we were very satisfied because the room was so neat and clean.
Would be happy to recommend. Especially for people who like a swim and a barbecue.
I arrived in the afternoon and waited a bit for the people from Evening Star, but my car was safely parked behind a security gate. The place has all the basic necessities for an overnight stay and is specially made beautiful. Neat and clean.
