Excelsior Farm offers peaceful and tranquil self-catering accommodation, approximately 9 km outside of the beautiful farm town of Porterville. Porterville is conveniently located off the N7 Cape Town to Namibia route, making it an ideal stopover location. Excelsior Farm is the perfect escape for families or groups who wish to get away from the city bustle and enjoy the tranquility of country living.

Accommodation is offered in a lovely old colonial-style, family owned farmhouse that can accommodate 15 guests, and in 3 glamping caravan options that can accommodate 2 or 4 guests respectively. The farmhouse is spacious and offers comfortable living with its traditional quaint atmosphere, surrounded by large eucalyptus trees. It comprises 6 bedrooms, 1 of which is an outside bedroom, a large cosy farm kitchen, a comfortable living area, and a large outside braai area. A braai grid and braai accessories are provided.

The glamping caravans comprise outside kitchenettes with a fridge, stove, and kettle, and guests have access to communal abblution facilties with a shower and toilet, and braai facilities. Each caravan has the option to add tents to its grass site.

The farm is secluded and offers peace and privacy. An old reservoir has been renovated to serve as a swimming pool for those hot summer days. No swimming towels are provided. Guests can also enjoy long walks, hikes, and mountain biking on the farm.

The Windmill Barn offers a rustic and homey venue for special occasions. With magnificent bonfires, unique country-side character and warm-hearted hospitality the event will surely be enjoyed by all guests. Using the on-site seating arrangements it can host 80 – 160 people, but this could vary should guests choose to use alternative tables and chairs. Bar facilities are offered in the barn.
