On colder evenings, guests can unwind in the wood-fired hot tub. The house also boasts a boma fire pit with seating space. A 2.5 km walking path circles the farm, with high lookout points for resting and viewing the valleys below.

We had the most wonderful stay at Exhale Cottage. The attention to detail was remarkable! We loved watching the birds and just being able to relax in the peaceful setting!

Lovely relaxed country living in a cottage that had absolutely everything that one could possibly want!
It was a great experience! The house includes everything you need, from a pizzabraai to a hot tub. Even luxury soaps, free use of olive oil/all kinds of herbs, a cheese board & brut on arrival, etc. The hosts were super friendly. The location felt like a dream! 10 out of 10!

There are not enough stars to rate Exhale Cottage. The hosts' generosity with welcome treats and wine completely blew us away. The attention to detail is like nothing we have ever encountered. The cottage with its amazing views, the bath in the bush, the rock pool a short walk away with its own deck and sun loungers, the food for the birds and mongoose, the fine botanicals in the bathrooms (we stocked up in Montagu when we left), the dried fynbos on the beds - if we lived closer we would be there once a month. It is just the most magical place. It was such a blessing to be allowed to visit. In future we will use it as a base to explore Montagu and Robertson because it is closer to town than expected.

Exhale Cottage is more than accommodation. It's a place to get totally quiet, secluded but in luxury. The smallest detail you might think you need is already provided. Sitting in the wood-fired Jacuzzi in the pitch-black night and staring at the stars gives new meaning to relaxing. Keep an eye on that one, I'm sure he'll appear in a magazine soon!

What a wonderful place! Not only is it a beautiful home in a beautiful setting, but you didn't search for anything. Everything has been thought of and you are provided with everything you can think of. Fresh wildflowers in the rooms, a cheese board in the fridge, local wine and pastries on the counter! There is even a Ducky for when you go to relax in the open air bath. We spent a lovely two days here and will definitely make it an institution when we come home to visit! Colette and Chris have been fantastic hosts. We would recommend Exhale Cottage to anyone.

We loved our two nights at Exhale Cottage! There are not really words to express how peaceful and connected we felt to the landscape and those awe-inspiring mountains. Every little detail that Colette and Chris leave is like a little treasure to enjoy. Even the surprise Easter Bunny hunt for our daughter - so special! I am an instant convert to the beautiful Fijn Botanicals products. Kind to nature and humans. Thank you for the most wonderful experience! We will never forget it and hope to be able to come to visit again.
