Clean, tidy, safe. Large, comfortable rooms. Will definitely stay there again.
They must fix the hot water issue, there wasn't hot water in most rooms, showered with cold water for two days.

The guest house is much more beautiful than in the photos. Will definitely stay there again and recommend. The shower floor is only slightly slippery and you can easily slip. The shower tap is a copper pipe (very modern and looks luxurious) but it gets hot and difficult to turn off when you have finished showering, because it burns.
Service was also very good.
Had a very friendly reception, rooms are very clean and tidy.

More attention may be given to maintenance matters eg. Toilet seat loese, toiletrol holder broken, etc.
Room was unfortunately not ready at check-in time. No complimentary soap/shampoo. One of the small dogs on the premises was quite angry. Dogs in the area quite noisy. Overall neat, clean and spacious accommodation, but we didn't feel it was quite worth the price of R1100 per person.

The parking area should be clearly marked as we once had trouble getting in and out.
Confusion with the allocation of our room, no hot water, toilet seat found broken, toilet leaking.
We were very impressed with the town of Harswater. Fairview Guesthouse is very neat, clean and rooms very comfortable. Beds and linen are of good quality. We attented a function at The Venue and found Fairview to be ideally located for this purpose.
Fairview has a nice view and is definitely worth staying in when you go to Hartswater. The rooms are nice, large and well equipped. The service could be a little better and the window sills were a little dirty.
By 21:00 there was no hot water. Had to wait a long time at the gate to get access on arrival. Water's temperature changes as one showers. No soap provided in bathroom.

I have never had such a good time at a guest house as here. If I would like something more it would be breakfast. Thank you very much for good treatment.
The room was clean and tidy. There are only small things they could improve: The water was lukewarm. There is no water pressure. There was not a towel next to the sink to dry hands or any hand washing soap or small bottles of shampoo/body soap.
We were very satisfied with accommodation and service. Owner was very helpful when town power was out and arranged alternative lighting for us. The staff are friendly and helpful. The children of course really enjoyed the swing pool and table tennis. The area is very quiet with a beautiful view over town and scheme.
It is a very new guesthouse. The rooms are very pretty and neat, the only negative was that the jong man that received us was a bit intoxicated.
There was nobody to receive us when we arrived and nobody to let us out when we left. The room had no towel rails and the blinds in the bathroom did not close properly leaving one feeling very exposed while showering or using the toilet.
The place is very nice but not being looked after. The owners must monitor the place and make sure it's clean and comfortable. The stay was very unpleasant, couldn't wait to leave.
The guesthouse is 5 star, just need to work on some of the staff's customer service skills.
We found a dirty bed in our room. There was hair on a pillow and stains on the sheet. It was very clear that the room's bed had not been covered with clean sheets after the previous guests had left. Upon request, the bedding was changed immediately, even though it was Christmas Day. There weren't towels on the beds as usual, so we don't know if the towels that were there were clean. There was also no soap or shampoo. There were someone else's underwear in some of the drawers and the place was not dusted.
Comfort away from home is important -We were not provided with this. The accommodation was less than basic and so called "budget rooms" are more suitable for single travelers just trying to find a place to sleep. Compared to accommodation my other family members were booked into for less than what we paid, we really did not get value. One of the rooms had a hole in the ceiling and walls were barely painted. Upon our complaint, we were moved to other rooms which still did not give any privacy or sense of comfort. The so called "Budget rooms" definitely not accommodation for couples or family.
Poor service. Actually none. Dirty. Use old water bottles, wash them, refill and put in room! No shower door/curtain, little girl slipped and hit her head. Mirror lies against sink. Swimming pool green with cigarette pack in it. There was no cleaning up after the dogs. Hang laundry over pool rails. Throw rubbish on the side of the house where cars park. No booking book. Room no window. Disappointed and weak.
