It reminds me of a hotel that people go to to cheat on there wives.

Beaches poor. Lack of privacy, no toilet door. Other guests have to use your balcony to get to their rooms.

Will definitely use LekkeSlaap again to book a place. Our stay at Fairways was wonderful. Food was tasty, just too much. Everyone was very nice and helpful. You will see us again for sure. Thank you very much.

The manager/owner is absent. Receptionist/chef/floor cleaner (?) not competent. Pathetic cleaning service. Wet towels only changed if you ask them to. Stained sheets, and torn here and there, floors not vacuumed or sweeped. Guests use the kitchen to prepare their own food. Breakfast is way below standard. Cheap sausage, meatballs etc. Poor quality fruit. I can carry on and on. Will never recommend this "hotel" at anyone. Where does the "boutique hotel" come in? Definitely not a boutique hotel.

The accommodation was clean, safe and comfortable. We could come and go via the gates as we wished. The bathroom was especially a nice treat. Breakfast was delicious.

Had a great time, and liked the hotel and location right across from the beach. Would like to see the following improvements/changes: Doors to the bathrooms. Maybe offer dinner too? Jacuzzi was a bit full of sand when we wanted to use it. Otherwise - we are happy and would love to return. Thank you!

Although the accommodation was reasonable, it was affected by too much disturbance from other hotel guests. The room walls are thin and if other guests make noise, it is disturbing. The tub's plug didn't seal well and faucets were loose. Stones in the shower are a bad idea. It is also expensive compared to top hotels in Durban that offer much better quality. The breakfast staff were very nice.

First, you wait at the gate in high hopes that someone will open it after ringing the intercom. Out of desperation I dial the cell number which is answered by a surly woman. After another long wait the gate opens. Two pairs of rotten shoes and an old towel greet you at the main entrance, no sign of a human being. After I rang the bell a lady came out of the kitchen, barefoot! After an extremely unprofessional reception, she takes us to the room, "luxury room" No. 1. The garden boy cum painter cum butler, also barefoot and in dirty blue overalls and T-shirt, takes our bags to the room. What a disappointment, It's dirty and clearly hasn't been cleaned properly in a long time. Cobwebs around the headlight, dirty fridge, no complimentary tea, coffee, snacks, etc. as is standard in a so-called boutique hotel. Cheap pink soap on the sink in the bathroom, the towel rail falling off. Towels are so hard they can be used as sandpaper. Blinds are broken and full of dust! The windows are screwed in and the only one that does open falls off when I close it the next morning. Breakfast is an even bigger disappointment. It's just before 9 and NO ONE in the kitchen or dining room. Four bowls of sealed yoghurt, some bananas and apples and a bowl of pineapple is the cold buffet! Cutlery is chipped and there is no one teaspoon that matches the other. So is the rest of the cutlery. No napkins. I call the owner about our complaints, but her response is that she will send someone to fix the window and hangs up on my ear. I ask for a safe or the key to the locker in our room, but am taken to room 4 and requested to use the safe there. We decide to check out. I keep ringing the bell in reception, but there is no response. I dial the landline while we are on reception but it rings repeatedly without anyone answering. I try the cell but it's off. Finally a cleaner (barefoot) appears and I request that she call Stefanie (the owner) as we want to check out and demand a refund. She disappears and after a very long time she comes back with the message that there will be no refund if we check out early. I urge her to put it in writing because she is the so-called "housekeeper" and discovers that she cannot write. I show her everything in the room that we complain about. If it wasn't for the photos I sent to LekkeSlaap, I certainly wouldn't have received a refund. This place does not deserve 4 stars in any way, does not belong on LekkeSlaap. I have never received such bad service as this.
