We specifically chose a place where our kids could swim. We were there for 5 days and the kids could not swim the entire time. The pool was dirty and no one really seemed interested in our concerns. They told us the water was safe to swim in but it looked like a lake. One of the guests even found a water scorpion and removed it.
We had a good weekend however we did not feel that the area in front of the river is safe. It seems as though some damage occurred with the steps access the area in front of the river. Gaping holes and no hand rail to hold onto to safely access. We all had to access the unsafe area in order to fish and this was really an unsafe hazard for my family. The one bathroom basin was blocked.
No, not at all. Terk Ferreira's house was very dirty and dilapidated upon arrival. The caretaker full of excuses his son was a bit more helpful. I fell with one leg all the way through the wooden deck and got hurt. They subsequently replaced many sections of the porch as the wood was done and the place apart from. The fishing was just as unpleasant. There is definitely not enough space for 7 people to fish. We only come fishing 2 people at a time.
We stayed in the main area's chalets. It was very nice, pure farm.
It was absolutely fantastic! We got the tranquility we wanted. The service was top notch, we had a problem with the fridge and it was sorted within 5 minutes. We forgot a few things there and they kept them safe for us. There isn't a good signal or WiFi, but that didn't bother me at all either. It was nice to be cut off from the everyday hustle and bustle for a weekend. Thank you very much Udolpho.
Will use their services again in the winter, but in the summer it's too hot if they don't have air conditioning.

The Mooifontein house is spacious and well located right on the river, with a very comfortable lapa so we could still braai when it rained. Udolpho went out of their way to meet our needs and address any issues. The house has some minor maintenance needs but nothing that seriously affected our stay. We have reported it and believe it will be addressed. FAK Udolpho offers value for money at a reasonable price for what one gets. Management was friendly and helpful.
We stayed at the Sally Williams Oewerhuis and it was wonderful. Comfortable with everything one could need; a home away from home. The only criticism I have is that the fridge, although nice and big, does not get very cold. Perhaps it needs to be regassed, and there was only one roll of toilet paper in each bathroom with no spares to be found. Other than that, it is a wonderful place to get away and enjoy some peace next to the river.

Me and my husband, 89-year-old mother and her helper came to spend a few days from Musina by the Vaal River. The mini-vacation was also accompanied by visits with our daughter and grandchildren. We stayed in the Sally Williams house. The children could play, while the adults could comfortably barbecue and visit. Mum was comfortable because there were no steps for her to struggle with. Kitchen and pantry well equipped. Rooms nice and big and showers easily accessible. Will definitely book here again.

Very nice place, but they will definitely have to see that they fumigate the place more often, there are an incredible amount of spiders. My girlfriend and I both had to go to the doctor on Monday due to bite marks on our faces and necks.

The location is perfect. They just need to upgrade the self catering rooms.
We went home in Nalekoker no. 1. The curtain had a tear. There was no wardrobe or hook or rail or any facility to hang clothes on. There was also no shelf or cupboard in which clothes could be packed. There was no place to sit (table) for a suitcase or any loose items. We had to work from the floor! The shower has a plastic curtain and the shower floor was not cleaned properly - old rubbish in the corners!
These are 3 units each with their own bathrooms, very comfortable and private. Children enjoy the swimming pool and the farm is very close to Parys. The housing unit has everything you need.

We stayed in the Sally Williams house and it was excellent. The house is stylish, very well equipped, clean, comfortable and has an excellent location. The river is a few steps away from the nice large patio. However, there is also a solid fence, so we had no worries about our small children's safety. The three bedrooms are spacious and comfortable. The indoor and outdoor living areas offer more than enough space for socializing, even for larger groups.

The light was not working and the light in the kitchen is difficult to turn off. Water in the shower is not draining. Lamp next to bed is also not working. Towels and sheets need to be replaced at least once a week. Also feel that the staff can just come and check on you once a week. Oh yes, and the WiFi issue - that is a problem! Need to sort that out. Some people will not even visit because of that.

I have visited Udolpho several times and stayed in different houses/chalets and still enjoy it every time. This time we stayed in "Sally Williams", one of the river houses. The house is well equipped with everything and anything, it was ideal for the super windy and freezing cold weekend. I was kindly received at the office. Als was neat and clean upon our arrival. I can happily recommend it.
Our stay was very short. Was more than I expected. Tranquillity at its best.
Luckily we were there during the week. We didn't realize our place of residence was not a stand-alone unit. It was in the middle with a place on either side. We really enjoyed the visit there.

The unit was tidy, but one can see that maintenance work is urgently needed. The carpet is very old and was full of dust. The fireplace doesn't work because we couldn't make any fire without filling the whole unit with smoke. The doors almost all got stuck and could not close properly.
