The accommodation is offered in 3 separate self-catering cottages. The cottages are 80 to 300m from the owners' main home and are private owing to some trees and garden shrubs between the main house and the cottages. Nguni cottage is 300m from our main home and is our most private unit. Each unit has a kitchen with a fridge, hob, microwave, kettle, Nespresso machine and toaster, as well as a lounge with a Samsung Smart TV with Netflix and a fireplace. Limited LTE Wi-Fi is available.
Your hosts are both avid mountain bikers and are happy to advise on some of the mountain bike routes in the neighbouring forest. The cottages are located 5.4 km from Terbodore Coffee Roasters on Old Currys Post Road, and 16.2 km from Nottingham Road.

If you're looking for a place to relax and recharge, Far Away Place Cottages is an absolute gem. Highly recommended!
Far Away Place is one of the nicest getaways we've ever visited! We stayed in the Treehouse and everything was great! Clean, fireplace, TV, everything needed in the kitchen. Good places to eat in the area. Thanks to the host for the special attention and always making sure we are comfortable.
Would recommend Far Away Place anytime to someone looking to get away and relax.
The farm is very peaceful. The cottages are well furnished and comfortable. Very hospitable and accommodating.

The freshly baked bread provided was a nice surprise as well as the fruit was much appreciated. The firewood provided and more to buy was used every night in the fireplace and braai due to the cold and wet weather. Also enjoyed the benches at the two dams for sundowners and a bit of fishing. Will definitely be back.

Please note that the luxury tree house is the only unit that is not pet-friendly.
Pets are not to be left unattended in the cottages and are not allowed on the couches or beds unless guests bring their own blankets for this. A pet cleaning fee may apply.
Please note that you will be required to accept the full terms and conditions of our pet policy as provided by the accommodation upon booking.
We have a 5GB per day fair usage policy for the LTE Wi-Fi. Should you exceed this data limit or require additional data, please enquire with us. 5GB will cost R64.00 per block. Netflix will consume 5-10GB per day if you run it all the time.
We do have a dam on the property that is stocked annually with trout. It is catch-and-release and fly fishing only.
Far Away Place is reached by a gravel road leading, and guests are required to enquire about the condition of the road, before arrival, as it could be subject to change due to unforeseen circumstances.

The main bedroom contains a queen-size bed, and the second loft-style bedroom contains a double bed and a single bed. The bedrooms share the use of a bathroom fitted with a shower, a toilet, and a basin, and all the beds are fitted with 100% cotton percale linen. The kitchen is equipped for self-catering with a gas stove, a fridge-freezer, a convection microwave, a kettle, a toaster, as well as cutlery and crockery, and meals can be enjoyed at the breakfast bar. The lounge is furnished with a comfy lounge suite and a wall-mounted Smart TV with Netflix; there is no DStv or satellite dish but feel free to hook up any of your devices to the Smart TV. The living area opens up onto a lovely patio area which has an outdoor 4-seater dining table, and lovely views of the surroundings.
