Accommodation comprises 1 manor house, a loft, and separate guest cottage, accommodating up to 20 persons. The double-storey manor consists of 6 spacious bedrooms furnished with either a queen-size bed or a double bed; 5 bathrooms fitted with a shower and bath or a shower. The house also offers a spacious fully equipped kitchen that contains a large gas stove, microwave, fridge, oven and other appliances and utensils. The adjacent main living area leads out onto the verandah, which overlooks the gardens and tennis court.
The main house also boasts a library, a sunroom with spectacular views, an entertainment room with a billiards table and a bar, including a wine cellar, and a balcony overlooking the area.
The guest cottage is located a few steps from the main house, and comprises 2 en-suite bedrooms, a coffee station and a small lounge with a wood-burning fireplace.
Vehicles can be parked in the 3 lock-up-and-go garages. Guests have access to the tennis court and swimming pool located a few metres from the home, or guests can visit the well-stocked dam or explore the hiking and mountain-biking trails on the farm.

4 guests' feedbackI have never before experienced such generosity at a self-catering venue. The hosts genuinely care about their guests and go beyond to create a comfortable stay. The care and love they put into the beautiful old house makes it a home away from home. I cannot recommend Faraway Estate more highly and if there were more stars to allocate, they would get the whole galaxy!
Great for large family getaways.
We've just come back from our stay at Faraway Estate, and the space exceeded our expectations. So many extras are offered at no extra cost.
House needs lots of maintenance. Old and yellowing fixtures. Old random mix matched furniture. Dated worn out carpets. Great for a party or a photoshoot but not as pictures portray in terms of comfort. Standard of 2- maybe 3-star hotel. Check in smooth and seamless, friendly warm host.
