We were warmly received on a cold evening. Our room is heated ahead of time. Great feeling to walk into a warm room, with the most beautiful interior and decor in room - like from a Lifestyle magazine, attention has been paid to fine detail - most beautiful crockery for a delicious tea/coffee. Had a great night's rest - and a hot shower that was just as luxurious. And beautiful candles in the bathroom. The plants in the room were incredibly beautiful - I love green leafy plants. Many thanks to Feather & Rock - truly a lovely overnight stay - much appreciated.

When it comes to booking accommodation online, it's very rare that the reality lives up to the photos, but at Feather & Rock our room was every bit as beautiful and elegant as on the website. We also appreciated the various small, personal touches that show the hosts' thoughtfulness - for example the availability of an umbrella, corkscrew, insect repellant, dressing gowns and a selection of coffees and biscuits, as well as the overall comfort of the room and living area. It is very conveniently located near the tourist shops of Breestraat and our favorite restaurant in Parys (O's Restaurant) and a stone's throw from the river (we could hear the water from the veranda). There was a bit of a disturbance in the form of monkeys running on the roof in the morning, but we were already awake and the hostess apologized for that even though it was out of her control. I would only keep this in mind if you are a late sleeper, otherwise we had no other problems from monkeys. We will definitely stay at Feather & Rock again when we go to Paris for a weekend.

We only needed overnight facilities as we would only spend time there after dark and before sunrise. The visit was right in the middle of phase 6 blackouts, as well as the municipal blackouts. The owner and her assistant went out of their way to make us comfortable. This guest house is equipped with a generator which is used in emergencies. Annette, you have a winning recipe here!
