Very nice environment and peaceful. You hear hippos and lions roaring in the evening. Cottage very well equipped with an extra special touch. WiFi works well. Friendly dogs welcomed us and stopped by often. Neatly clean and definitely recommendable.
The atmosphere, the friendliness, the location - everything about the place works fantastically. Will definitely come back there again. Lions wearing glasses, hippos on your porch - everything is great. Thank you very much.
Fleurette makes sure everything is perfect. You don't need anything extra except your clothes, everything is provided.
Featherbrook Cottage is very nicely located if you want to do things in and around Tzaneen, the deck and river make it special and the dogs that accompany you at all times were just a pleasure. The roaring of the hippos and lions was a bonus.
The unit is fantastic and the extra solar battery power for when loadshedding hits was a pleasure. As well as the free WiFi while I was working remotely and the air-con in the room for the heat. Customer service also top notch. Thank you very much Fleur for the delicious fresh litchis!

Luckily some of the power points still work even though the power is off (due to Eskom) and the gas stove was a bonus.
The cottage is very well furnished and clean. The beds ensure a good night's rest. The hostess is very friendly and immediately makes you feel welcome.

Very nice stay there! It was very quiet and peaceful! You are quite close to town with all the amenities but wouldn't know it! Lots of bird life around the house. The deck over the Letaba river creates a nice place to sit as the sun sets. The house includes everything you could need, even a very nice gas barbecue! We would recommend it anytime and will stay there again in the future.
Featherbrook Cottage is a dream. The cottage was very clean and neat. Loved the big screen and comfy couch. Beautiful view of the river and just an overall relaxing enviroment.

The cottage is better than it looks in the photos! 3 comfy bedrooms and 2 bathrooms meant each child could have their own room. The huge fridge and freezer was good in the December heat and the aircon in the main room was a lifesaver. The kitchen is well stocked and the full DStv was great for our longer stay. A lovely gas braai on the big covered patio which we used on 3 nights was a hit. The Alsatians were great and made us feel very safe sleeping on the patio for most of the night and "patrolling" the grounds during the day. The hippos that come out the river at night are certainly also a great security feature. Beautiful birds and nice quiet location. We stayed there for 4 days and used it as a base to explore the area, including a self drive from Tzaneen to Haernetsburg via Modjadiskloof. It is 150 km and has dirt roads (high clearance needed if it rains) but is well worth it for the scenic views. We cut out the reserve and the drive was around 150 km and took around 4 hours. Super hosts and a good venue.
We had such a great stay at Featherbrook Cottage. With the river on your doorstep, boma and well-made bedding, you can't help but be completely rested after such a getaway. Convenient distance from Magoebaskloof and other activities.
We as a family really enjoyed it. Took our bikes together and it was just really fun. We were looking for a quiet weekend and found it there. Would really recommend the place.
Beautiful three bedroom house, with everything you need and more. Silver clean and neat. Mark and Fleurette are always friendly and helpful and take care of something extra. Tranquility of bird life, manatees and the roar of lions, and silence, make it an exceptional place. The deck next to the Letaba River takes the cake. Don't miss this place. The place is a gem. We were able to rest for a whole week and get away from everyday activities.

Very kindly welcomed. We really enjoyed our stay, felt so at home. The cottage is very spacious with everything you need, and everything was clean and tidy. Definitely value for your money. Will stay there again if we are in Tzaneen.
Very neat place with lots of hospitality.
The cottage was very clean. Air con throughout would have been great, as temperatures were in the upper 30s while we were there, and the fans didn't really make a difference. Special to wake up to birds and to be so close to the river.
Communication was a bit poor. It is also a beautiful place.
The place is so big and right by the Letaba River. At night you can hear lions from the predator park as well as hippos by the river.
Pretty private, everything a woman needs is all in place (even Doom for the bugs), coffee and a muffin and even sherry for the mood. The owner thought of everything to make the accommodation as comfortable as possible for guests. I would recommend Featherbrook to everyone. Had a great time, thank you very much!
I haven't been as impressed with accommodation as this area has been in a long time. Spacious, tidy, safe and the hostess was incredibly helpful. I am definitely coming back to this place. NB! The directions were not 100% correct, it is only 6 km outside Tzaneen and not 10 km!

Well presented rooms with comfy beds. Enough room for 5 adults not to get in each other's space. Everything you need. Gorgeous views filled with greenery, lively and varied birds and the lowing cows next door. Best patio to sit on and just drink it all in. We were warmly received by the owner who moved with us through the apartment and showed us everything, apartment well equipped, neat and clean. Also serviced daily. There is a lovely braai area to reflect on the day's activities. I will use the accommodation again at any time, also in a personal capacity.
The hosts were very friendly and accommodating. The cottage is a real gem with modern finishes and all the comforts of home. The cottage was spotless and we'll prepared and our stay was very comfortable. We can fully recommend this cottage to anyone wanting to tour the area or spend a relaxing peaceful time sitting on the veranda observing nature.
Featherbrook Cottage is a wonderful cottage. The house is very well furnished and has everything one could need. It's very beautiful and peaceful on the grounds. It was a disappointment though that it is advertised that there is fishing and cycling on site. The river is overgrown and one can hardly get close to the water to catch fish. Also, the bike route is off-site and partially tarmac. Furthermore, we experienced a wonderful few days.
It was unexpectedly delightful.
