The first bedroom is furnished with a queen-size bed, while the second bedroom is upstairs and has a king-size bed, all with crisp white percale linen. The bathroom is fitted with a bath, a shower, a toilet, a basin, a washing machine, and a tumble dryer. The second, upstairs bed, can be made up as one king-size bed, or as two singles. Please specify this when making your booking. Since there is only one bathroom, the space is best suited to one large family, or two small families that don’t mind sharing. We have two additional single mattresses that can be made up for kids - please enquire about this if needed.
The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering and contains a gas stove, oven, fridge-freezer, microwave, cutlery, and crockery. The open-plan living area features a dining table with ample space, comfortable couches, and a cosy fireplace. Help yourself to herbs from the garden.
The interior space of the cottage is minimalistic yet comfortable. It features sliding doors that lead out to a wooden deck complete with a seating area, allowing guests to enjoy the stunning mountain views. There are braai facilities available for guests.
The cottage is off the grid with 60 000 liter rainwater tanks and a high-capacity inverter and solar system with a grid tie to Eskom.
Secure off-street parking is available behind an automatic gate.
The Wi-Fi must be on at all times as the main house (5A) sources Wi-Fi from the unit by line of sight. In the cottage, the Wi-Fi is required to operate the geyser. If an appliance trips the power, the host will contact guests for access to re-set.
Checkers 60/60 and some local restaurants will deliver.
No pets and no smoking. Please do not leave chargers (for example laptops, phones, lights) plugged in - they may start fires.
