Beautiful old farmhouse just far enough off the main road. The host is an absolute gentleman.
It was an immersive experience, even though it was just an overnight stop. Johan opened his home to us, and we got a feel of what it's like being a farmer (without the hard work). The farmhouse is full of history. It's lovely to walk around and see the 3 stallions galloping in the paddock, the sheep being herded into the pen by Johan on a motorbike, geese, peacocks, etc. The pool was great to cool off, and we braaied on the big stoep. There is tons of space, and it was rustic but comfortable.
Very nice stay. Will stay there again.
