The location is perfect and there is so much to do and see in the area.
We loved our stay. Go to sleep with the sound of the ocean and wake up with it. The beach was close and the water is nice and warm. The weather was not in our favour but that didn't stop the kids from running into the sea with their warm clothes on, because the water is not that cold. We enjoyed sitting at braai area, even my twins (6) sat with me falling asleep on the couch listening to the sea. Will definitely go back to Ferien am Meer.
We stayed 6 nights and really enjoyed it. The house is modern and very spacious. The washing machine and dishwasher were a big plus. The stoep and braai area were very convenient to use. It is about a 1 km walk along the tarmac road to the main beach. The fisherman's walk offers beautiful views and can also be taken to the beach via many steps down the slope. Our children aged 4 and 8 did it easily, but may be difficult for the unfit. It's a beautiful beach with beautiful rock formations. We found the neighborhood very safe. The accommodation was definitely good value for money and I would definitely recommend it. Sinclair and Jimmy were easy to reach during our stay. We will come again.

Welcoming upon arrival. Love the attention to detail (bath, plugs, toiletries, washing machine, and dishwasher, heater). Location: lovely safe area close to the beach for swimming. The property has a view of the lake and ocean, offering beautiful sunrise and sunset views. For an even more beautiful sunrise and sunset, one can take a 5-minute drive to the lake. Road works are causing delays. It's about a 15-minute drive to a shop. Upon checkout, there was a miscommunication that just needed to be resolved.
Jimmy and Carla (Sinclair's parents) were very helpful, friendly and made us feel very welcome. Apart from stage 6 load shedding outages, there was plenty to do. WiFi still worked, the gas stove could be used, there was hot water and enough emergency lights. The house was well equipped and we would very much like to holiday there again. We felt very safe and were able to lock our car in the garage. Beautiful surroundings.

We expected a sea view, but despite that the house is very close to the front, so one can quickly walk there for a nice sea view. The house is spacious with a nice porch. We had a nice stay.
We enjoyed the stay very much. The house is comfortable and very well located and has everything one needs. Very nice friendly people, we would definitely like to go back again. Unfortunately, we were there in a "stage 6" loadshedding the whole week and we would have appreciated it quite a lot if there was e.g. a battery with an inverter was or even 2 or 3 of these rechargeable flashlights would have been very welcome! We were flying so we couldn't bring anything like that with us at all. Fortunately, there are gas cooking facilities. We realize very well that Eskom is none of our fault, but for the future it might be cool, don't think Eskom is going to improve in the near future.
The accommodation was very clean and tidy and had all the kitchenware/tools one would need. Jimmy was an amazing host and made us feel welcome.

Beautiful, modern beach house. The interior of the home has been done beautifully, with a lot of natural light being allowed in. The home has all the comforts away from home - Wi-Fi, DStv, dishwasher and all the kitchen utensils you would need (my husband loves cooking, so we cooked every night and not once did he need something not available). The home was very clean and has a perfect location, the kingfisher walk is diagonally across the road. The host (Sinclair) and his father (Jimmy) were also super helpful and made sure everything was okay during our stay. Perfect holiday home and we will definitely be visiting again!

Ferien am Meer is well located if you want to drive around the area. We were disappointed that there is no longer a partial sea view as shown in the photos. There is currently construction in front of the house which takes away the partial sea view that was there. However, the daily rate was in line with this and we didn't feel like we overpaid, but we would have liked to know in advance that this had changed. Jimmy who received us was very helpful and very pleasant. The house was equipped with everything we needed to make it comfortable.
Peaceful, safe and truly relaxing break in this gorgeous house just a short walk from the beach. Loved the braai area/deck with views and comfy furniture. Everything we needed was there, including a dishwasher! Friendly hosts. Thank you, we will be back for sure!

The house is spacious and well equipped. It felt like a home away from home. It is very neat ans clean and the style is tasteful and I love the architecture and big windows which ensures that light pours in everywhere. I wish I could stay there forever!
We were a group of friends travelling from Cape Town to Knysna for a weekend of racing at the Simola Hill Climb. When we arrived we were greeted by the friendly owner of the house who made us feel right at home. We immediately noticed the cleanliness of the home coupled with all the amenities required and a beautiful outside braai area which we utilised every evening. Our stay was quick but good and would recommend it to other potential guests too.

We had a great time. The only negative point was that we had to leave.
We had a wonderful stay at Ferein am Meer, the house is even lovelier in reality and the area is great, close to an amazing beach and the lovely Fishermans Walk. The house itself is beautiful, light and spacious. Jimmy, Carla and Sinclair are wonderful hosts and the house was spotless and very well equipped on arrival. I would highly recommend this location, and will definitely be back.

It was such a pleasure to stay at Ferien am Meer. I went with a few friends for the Knysna Marathon. The service and welcome that we received, was friendly and warm. Jimmy supplied us with his blender when we wanted to make butter chicken. He supplied us with an extra pot when we wanted to make spaghetti bolognese. That extra helped showed us how important they considered our enjoyment of our stay to be. I'll definitely recommend a friend to stay there.
We had such a nice stay. The house is neat, clean and well equipped and the layout is practical and spacious. The stoep with built-in braai makes for a cozy visit. The area is beautiful with a breathtaking walking trail right across the street. The beach is also beautiful and close enough to walk. The host, Jimmy, really goes out of his way to make sure everything is 100% and even when there was a power outage in the area, he brought us a lamp and kettle that we could use on the gas stove late at night. We will definitely stay here again.
Ever since we arrived until we (unfortunately) had to go back home, it was just a pleasure to stay at Ferien am Meer. The people are extremely friendly and helpful (go out of their way to help), the place is neat and incredibly well-equipped. With the modern open plan layout and neat finish, the place has atmosphere and space like no other. When we go in that direction again, I will undoubtedly make a reservation here. 5 stars for you!
