The 4 self-catering Farm Cottages overlook the farm camps where farm animals peacefully graze, creating the perfect setting to slow down and enjoy a lingering braai with friends and family. Had a great time, appreciate that animals are allowed. Everyone had a great time in the beautiful, peaceful setting.
I will definitely recommend Fernhill! The children so enjoyed the animals, milking a cow, feeding the sheep, the rabbits etc. Really a lovely place to stay.
Thank you for a lovely few days. We thoroughly enjoyed the cottage and especially the large area where our dogs could roam freely. They also enjoyed the walk in the woods. The farm is very neat and well kept. We will definitely be back!

We slept and visited very well at Fernhill. Mia explained everything in advance and we found the place easily.
Really enjoyed the stay. Just couldn't believe that there was no ice tray in the freezer at times when it was up to 38 degrees.
We were so happy to have we an accommodation that was pet friendly as we wanted a holiday with all 3 of our dogs. They absolutely loved both Fernhill and Knysna. Fernhill is a magical farm with a breathtaking forest and surrounds. We loved going for daily walks on the farm. Knysna also has many beautiful walks along the beach and forest which both the dogs and we loved.
It is a very nice place for small children, all the animals were very special. We will definitely go again.
Our stay at Fernhill Guest Farm was wonderful. My 6 year old daughter was in her element with all the animals around us. Perfect place to get away from it all and relax.
It is now a wonderful place that I will visit again with friends. I saw a rabbit, pig, horses, dairy cows and baboons on this farm. It's very quiet there.
Next time I will stay longer.

It is an amazing place to stay, we really enjoyed every minute. We love the scenery the house was perfect, loved the ideas, just one thing if I may suggest, an old TV with DVDs, for those really cold nights in front of the fire place, or more board games? But the stay was really awesome, thank you.
Would have preferred daytime cleaning though. But otherwise perfect!

Nice and peaceful and quiet. Nice place to relax, braai etc. and close to one of our favourite holiday destinations.
We had a great time, and the children really enjoyed the farm life with all its animals. It was peaceful and the view was beautiful. We were welcomed with the most delicious chocolate cake and all the flowers in the house made us feel extra at home. Thank you that we could milk cows together, our children enjoyed it so much. The horses came to greet us in the morning and made our stay extra special. Will definitely go back again.

The hostess Mia is very helpful and friendly. The brownies they make on the farm are some of the tastiest we have ever eaten. We will definitely visit again.
We loved our stay at Fernhill. It has beautiful views and it's so quiet. We were able to really rest and recover there. The cottage was great and everything we needed. We took our kitty who absolutely loved the farm life. We will definitely be back. The hosts were so friendly and the daily visits by the horses were the cherry on top. We love nature and the outdoors and it was the perfect way to spend our holiday.
The environment is incredibly beautiful and peaceful. Sunrise and sunset are something to experience. The farm animals are a fresh difference, especially with children. Mia and her team's service was incredibly good. We will definitely go again.

The charming farm setting with the Jersey cows, horses, piglets is just what one needs to relax. Friendly reception in a very nice and clean chalet. Would definitely recommend and maybe try the tents one day.
Its a farm, so expect dirt roads and some insects. Facilities were great and the WIFI was fine. Beautiful horses that love it when you feed them carrots and apples. Great views so take binoculars to see into the other valleys. The resident peacock is very inquisitive and so are the little piggies (Pickles and Pixie). The farm is very safe, private and you get the fresh air and clear starry sky at night. Its a big wow from us. Highly recommended.

It is ideal for a peaceful and relaxing holiday in beautiful surroundings. The dirt road to Fernhill is in fairly good condition.
Direction to farm can be better indicated from tarmac.
