5 guests' feedbackHad a great stay and saw quite a bit of wildlife. Although it's not near the line (border) of the Kruger National Park. Owners are very friendly.
Fig Tree is only good enough for a night's sleep on the way to the game park, not for a visit to enjoy the Marloth experience.
There are loose power lines lying around. There not a bread knife or a pot if you need to cook something. The drying rack is tackled like this. The surface in the kitchen to do something is so small. The barbecue is not even cleaned after you have barbecued the day before. I asked twice if there was a splash pool and was told there was, but still don't know where it is and the TV and channels are extremely poor.

We had a great stay at 25 Fig Tree in Marloth Park. Environment is nice, relaxed and the owner is very friendly. She very quickly arranged professional help when something went wrong with the electricity in the unit and it was quickly repaired. The apartment (studio) we stayed in is detached and was neat and clean. Most necessary amenities and equipment are available. There were the normal challenges one would find in a thatched house. We discussed for a week what means you take a little more clothes with you and would it have been convenient if there were facilities available to hang clothes. The shower in the bathroom is open (no sides or door) and we were told that only the mop provided in the bathroom can be used to mop up the water that spills outside the shower. The bathroom also has a door that goes out to the braai area. The steel security door can lock but the door itself cannot lock which could potentially pose a security risk. Overall the stay was acceptable but the unit needs some TLC. The park itself offers unique opportunities for wildlife viewing and because it borders the wildlife park, you also see a lot of wildlife that comes to drink water at the Crocodile River.
