Excellent. Location is very good, and staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The lift was out of order the whole time we were there, but as we were on the ground floor, it didn't affect us.
Our apartment faced west, which made the apartment terribly hot, and there are only fans, no air conditioning. Something to keep in mind, especially during summer months. The suites are perfectly located for tourists who want to experience the Seepunt promenade.
Was lovely. The floor was dirty. I know this because my daughter's socks were brown underneath, but other than that, it was lovely.
The safe was locked and it was not possible to use. The door to the balcony cannot be locked. The bathroom and toilet needed a deep clean. These should be checked before guests arrive.
One of my worst experiences at a hotel. Customer service and communication is non-existent. I arrived at 10am in the morning and went to reception to inform them that I am parked in front of the hotel (pointing out my car). Reception acknowledged that I would be visiting the waterfront on a bicycle and would be returning at 14:30pm. Upon my return and checking in at the hotel, reception asked me, “Is that your vehicle in front?” I responded to say yes. I asked if it's okay to park there, and he said it's fine. The reception lady replied, “Oh, because they were wondering whose car that was and they wanted to clamp it and park it.” I was confused and annoyed by her response. Why was there no proper communication within their team? Later that evening, my wife and I decided to walk towards the promenade area and watch the sunset (being our anniversary). At 18:46pm, I received a call from reception to inform me that I needed to move my vehicle because I was parked in someone else’s parking. This was totally unexpected. How is it that after being parked in the same parking bay since 10am in the morning, I was at the reception area twice that day regarding me parking in that bay, and not once was anything mentioned? I was told to find other parking in the street and that my parking problem is not theirs. I was literally disgusted by the way I was treated. My wife decided to walk back to the reception area and see if she could resolve this matter in a better way. The reception lady explained that someone in the hotel was using that parking bay all week and they paid to utilize it. My wife then asked, ‘But why did they not ask us to move at 10am when we arrived or at 2pm when they again acknowledged us parking in that bay? There was ample parking on the hotel premises at 10am and 2pm but not at 7pm. This would mean I was left to park nearly a block away from the hotel in the street. The reception lady said that we can park our vehicle in front of the hotel door and that she is on duty all night and will keep an eye on our vehicle. This was not an ideal place to park because it technically blocks the entrance for other vehicles to pass. We then moved our vehicle to the space in which the reception lady asked us to move to. I made sure I left enough space for people to easily move in and out of the hotel. We then decided to explore the surrounding area on foot and get something to eat. We left the hotel at 20:30pm. I also noticed that the parking space we were asked to move from was still open. Upon our return to the hotel at 11:30pm, the parking space was still open, but the worst part was that a letter was left on my vehicle windscreen saying (F***WIT). This was obviously a fellow guest in the hotel who left that letter. When we got to reception, the lady who dealt with us before was not working anymore. The new guy at reception was never informed about the parking situation, and someone complained about our vehicle. I handed the letter to the guy at the reception, and I also noticed that the same marker pen that was used to write the letter was on the reception desk. This meant that the reception person technically gave the marker to the person to write “F***WIT”. My wife and I decided to go to our room, and it was not a pleasant sleep or anniversary night as we were left disappointed by the way we were treated. The next morning, we decided to leave early due to our bad experience at the hotel, and guess what? The parking bay which we were asked/forced to move from was still open. Sigh.
The downside is that there is no secure parking. Furthermore, the rooms are very nice, clean and tidy and there is a restaurant on the premises which makes it very convenient. Staff also very friendly and helpful.
Very nice stay, just too short!
The room was clean and the staff very helpful and accommodating and the location is walking distance from nice restaurants and entertainment.
