Always nice to stay at Fisherman's Cottage. The place was neat and clean, even oven pans etc. was sparkling clean.
Water problem in the bathrooms, practically no pressure. The water pressure in the kitchen is satisfactory. The problem was present the whole time during our stay. Pumps behind the house are old and very neglected and need some attention. Would prefer to book elsewhere until the issue is resolved.

Very neat guest house that is within walking distance of the sea and restaurants. The owners were very helpful when we crashed into the river where the bridge washed away. They arranged that we could drive through the mine's grounds to Hondeklip Bay. Jacqueline, our hostess, is very friendly and helpful, she herself explained to us where all the sights are. We can highly recommend Fishermans Cottage. Thank you for a nice visit.
We decided on the spur of the moment to go to Fisherman's Cottage two days early and Mariette was so helpful in arranging this for us. Jaqui received us at the cottage, super friendly and had everything ready for us. Fisherman's Cottage is very well equipped and the bedding was top quality. We will definitely visit Fisherman's Cottage again.
Although we only spent one night, it was a really pleasant stay and would highly recommend it. We will visit again.

The location of the cottage does not match up to the description. Hondeklipbaai has very little to offer the visitor and the poverty of the local population is quite depressing. Fisherman's Cottage was acceptable to stay in. The view of the sea is fairly far from the cottage and includes a number of RDP homes.

The people are so hospitable and the environment is amazing. We had such a nice time and you can walk until you are tired without feeling threatened.
We enjoyed the inside braai but they have to look at the outside patio area as it is not possible to sit outside and braai with the wind. Overall we enjoyed the well-equipped cottage and the beds were very comfortable.
This little house is a lovely surprise in the deserted seaside village. It feels like going back in time with the neat old house, and yet it is equipped with all the modern things you could ever need. We were spoiled with sherry waiting for us on the chilly day we arrived, and the manager even brought us a fresh, home-baked sandwich later. Book here if you want to get away from it all, but still want to stay in safety and comfort.
A well built, solid, welcoming home from home. We spent a relaxing 4 days at Hondeklipbaai. The home is intelligently designed for both comfort and privacy. The locals were friendly and helpful. Loved the area, walks and views. Highly recommended.
Worth a one time visit but won't necessarily go again.
The house was very nice and very well equipped. We had a wonderful stay and the extra effort was special. Delicious indoor barbecue. The mirrors are just all very high, our short people struggled a bit.
There are few such places left in South Africa.

Best accommodation in Hondeklip Bay, close to everything, walking distance from all the restaurants, even Sptitfire klip is a lovely walk away. The place is very tidy, beds sleep great, all facilities available and the stoepie with the view over the bay has become a fantastic sundowner spot every evening after a hard 4x4 route!

The old cottage is quaint but with modern finishes. It has all you need to self cater. The new TV and WIFI were an unexpected bonus

The advertisements state that there is more than one restaurant on Hondeklip Bay but do not state that none will be open after four o'clock during the flowering season. People who don't know the place should be better informed.
Will visit this place again. It was perfect for our needs.
