The owner sent me the check-in procedure in advance - because my flight to Cape Town was so late in the evening. I found everything easily and everything was neat, clean and in place. If you like self-catering units, this is ideal - there is literally everything to make one's stay, away from home, that much more easy and convenient. This was truly a very good experience at Flamingo Close.
The Protea Unit where we stayed was neat and pleasant. Only the stairs were unexpected and it is not indicated in the advertisement and photos. People with knee problems can be caught off guard by this.

Compared to other rooms in the same affordability bracket, this one is far above them all.
Very nice stay, but the stairs on the outside to get to the room can be a problem, especially if it is still wet as well, as it was in our case.
The only downside that may not apply to all visitors is that the rooms can only be accessed from the outside, after climbing a steep set of stairs. In our case it was still raining too and the stairs were wet, so we had to climb very carefully not to slip. Otherwise there were no other problems.
It is a beautiful quiet tidy place to stay and definitely worth it.

It was very neat. Would love to come and stay there with my husband, but because we come from far away, I sometimes want to bring my Yorkie with me for a bath and shave. She is very calm, doesn't bark either. I would just like to know if I can bring her with me. Glad to hear from you.
Really value for money, good location and very neat unit. Stairs a bit of a problem, especially in wet weather.
I was kindly received by the owner. A treat for the eyes, outside and inside the unit. The courtyard is private and comfortable and neatly laid out. All kitchen and barbecue necessities are there, comfortable unit, spacious bathroom and the electric towel arrangement is wonderfully convenient in winter. Fast Wi-fi connection. Will stay there again.
There are many extras provided that one does not usually find in this type of accommodation. The environment is peaceful and one feels safe.
We were there for 5 nights and the places are beautiful. There are different spots available. Ours did not have a kitchen. For a weekend stay I would recommend the place we had, but it gets a bit small for 5 days. Customer service is good. The owner always wants to facilitate your stay. Nicely close to the shops and in a safe area.
