Quiet and clean accommodation with breathtaking scenery.
Fluer de Lys is on a stunning farm with gorgeous sunrises and sunsets. The rondavel was clean and comfortable. No generator for load shedding but all the light bulbs are rechargeable so you have light (and with a lovely braai area and fire pit what more do you need?). Elize was so friendly and super helpful, nothing is too much trouble. Great little pub just down the road and only 40 km from Kruger's Orpen Gate. 20 minutes to Hoedspruit (note to travellers, if you need to do grocery shopping, rather go to Hoedspruit, the shops in Ackornhoek are not great).
We were there for a quick stopover. Can recommend for families looking to explore the area.

Ideal resting place just before the Wildlife Park. Orpenhek is just around the corner. Spacious, neat rondavels. Treats are available for an additional fee.

Fleur de Lys is outstanding value for money in an area where some of the accommodation cost thousands of Rands per night.
Would have liked to stay longer and use the stoep's visiting facilities, but we were in the game garden all day. Lovely place.
We will visit Fleur de Lys again. Unfortunately they had problems with water and we were without water for a while the morning and it messed with our travel plans. They did however pay attention to the problem immediately.
We were only there for 1 night on our way to Sabie Sands, but we could easily have stayed a whole week. Beautifully clean rondavels, beautifully located, wonderfully peaceful.
