"Guests should not need to pay for electricity."

The unit runs off pre-paid electricity. The electricity expired whilst we were there and we had to top up the units at our own expense. We were then advised once we had left that the units were insufficient and were requested to pay an additional amount. When a guest makes a booking at the cost of almost R9 000 for a 5 night stay there should be no extra costs.

"Tranquil weekend at an amazing location."

Noeline and Herman made us feel extremely welcome. The cottage was clean and well stocked with whatever we needed. Herman even came to check up the next day to see if we are happy and needed anything. Our 8 year old thoroughly enjoyed the water and had a ball of a time digging holes! The area is safe and it was great that the kids could just play on the grass. The venue comes highly recommended.

We landed in a severe windstorm aggravated by thick smoke from the burning mountain. In addition, the power was out due to damage to substations. However, we were warmly received, and were also provided with boiling water for a cup of hot tea. What a pleasant surprise to see the next day, how close the sea is and how beautiful the view. Thank you very much for caring service in unforeseen weather conditions.

Fleurpark 6 is a complete accommodation with a great seaside atmosphere. In spite of its open location we felt completely safe here.

Disappointed by lack of care by caretaker. Not clean. Information regarding electricity topping is necessary. Had to go out to buy electricity on Sunday morning. Caretaker's excuse was I should have known.

The weekend was very pleasant. The apartment is very modern and comfortable. The view is breathtaking. We definitely got our money's worth. We will definitely go again and recommend the place to people. Gerhard Steyn was very helpful and friendly.

Couldn't have asked for a better place. Ensure value for money. Beautifully clean and tidy. Facing the sea with the most beautiful view of the mountains and Gordons Bay. Didn't want to go anywhere else because you have everything you want right in front of you. Walking distance to restaurants. Will definitely go there again.

"We didn't want to leave."

We had a lovely stay for 2 days longer than we initially planned. The view and sunset over the sea was amazing, and if you want to be any closer to the sea, you'll be in the water! The house is fully equipped, comfortable and beautifully equipped and it is warm and cosy. The owner was friendly and helpful when we asked for help over the phone, and we were welcomed by a family member who stays in Gordon's Bay, at the house, and that person even helped us with our luggage and was also friendly. We felt at home and enjoyed the house and facilities a lot. We will definitely recommend it and stay there again. (Just a few things we'd like to bring to the owner's attention: 1. There were a couple items of the crockery (plates, glasses, also some cutlery etc.) that looked dirty or not properly washed, and put back in the cupboards by the previous guests. We had to wash a lot of it again before we could use it. We do understand that this sometimes happens at holiday accommodation places because people poorly wash the crockery and put it back in the cupboards, so it is just something the owner could ask the cleaning staff to check when they clean the house before the next guests arrive. There is also a dishwasher in the house. 2. Some of the surfaces like the bedside tables, baths etc. wasn't so clean, and also looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a while. 3. The house is currently advertised with an indoor braai, but on arrival we found it to be neatly and newly painted in white, with a painting placed in the opening. When we inquired we were told that it isn't really in use anymore because it fills the whole house with smoke. We phoned and asked the owner if we couldn't perhaps use it anyway because the wind was blowing really strong and we wanted to make a cosy indoor fire, and he did give us permission to use it. But in the end we didn't use it at all anyway, because we felt too bad as we knew it would've made the nice new paintwork black with smoke, and would destroy it, and we also didn't want to risk filling the house with smoke. 4. During our stay there were branches hanging above the roof of the single bed room. Because of the strong wind, it scraped against the roof the whole time, very noisily, and that disturbed us. It is possible that it has been trimmed by now, but we are just mentioning it. It is only positive criticism, because we believe the owner might not know about some of the things, and would like to make him aware of it. We will gladly recommend the house to anyone.

We were pleasantly surprised. The house is next to the ocean and everything was neat and very well equipped.

I would have liked a choice of whether or not to get the accommodation with a cleaning service. The stove in the house is very complicated, we got the owner's manual from the internet and still struggled. The washing line behind the house was mostly used by other people, I'm not sure if this facility was ours. The house is perfect and I will make us of it again for sure.

"Wonderful at the sea!"

We really enjoyed the unit a lot. We can just maybe recommend the following: 1. We were there in the winter holiday and there weren'te any winter bedding, besides a few blankets. The blanket in the main bedroom is too small for the bed. 2. Two of the blankets we took from the cupboard to use on the bed were dirty (food stains). The blankets also are not in a very good condition. 3. Some of the kitchen utensils (fraying pan, microwaveable plate and cups) were still dirty and we had to clean it before we could use it. 4. The braai let some smoke escape into the house at times. It looks as though the chimney outside is rusty and doesn't turn with the direction of the wind, that is way smoke gets into the house. 5. There is no gate at the entrance to the resort. This is just some of the things you should fix to make the accommodation beter. We're not complaining, you should just maybe have a look at these things. We will definitely book this unit again and recommend it to other people.
