I recently had the pleasure of staying at ForestHills in Rheenendal for a weekend, and it was an absolutely amazing experience. From the moment I arrived on Friday, I was welcomed by the serene surroundings and the warm hospitality of the hosts. The accommodation was spotless, well-equipped, and offered stunning views of the surrounding forest. It was the perfect blend of comfort and nature, providing a tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. On Saturday, I embarked on a hike through the Kringe in die bos trail, which offered breathtaking scenery at every turn. It was such a delight to return to ForestHills after my outdoor adventures and relax in such a peaceful setting. The entire weekend was truly refreshing, and I highly recommend ForestHills to anyone looking for a peaceful and rejuvenating getaway. I will definitely be back!

This cottage is a must-stay in the Garden Route. The place is up the mountains and very quiet and peaceful with an amazing view. With a nice walkway for a short walk. The owner is very helpful and friendly. Would definitely recommend this.
Sagewood Cottage is a gem! It is equipped for two people, but it is much more spacious than the photos reveal. The view from the porch is amazing and the setting is quiet and private. The entire cottage is thoughtfully laid out, spacious and comfortable. Absolutely beautiful! The fireplace in the bedroom is amazing and was an absolute treat for our winter visit. Caron is a fantastic hostess who immediately made us feel welcome. We appreciated the peace and quiet so much. We will definitely book this accommodation again. It was the perfect getaway and fed our soul the few days we spent on the estate. Really!

The hosts were very helpful and welcoming. The space was well-equipped and generous with firewood. We entertained family during our stay and the home was very comfortable for that. If it hadn't been so very cold the pool would have been a delight.
We arrived late - during load shedding, but check-in was quick and easy - the house was ready for us. The beds were comfortable. Only 1 bathroom for 5 adults - but we managed just fine. Forest Hills is really a lovely spot - would love to return in summer.
We loved relaxing on the stoep. The house was bigger than I was expecting and very nice and clean. Our bed was very comfortable with clean, crisp linen. Will definitely be back.
Taaibos Cottage is spacious, with two bedrooms, a large living area and kitchen with everything you can think of for a family getaway. A beautiful manicured lawn, swimming pool with slide and trampoline for the children. The view over the valley is indescribably beautiful! There are some short and safe walks through the native forest that will suit everyone's fitness levels. Our evenings ended with a barbecue and the charming call of a night owl that was probably only a few meters away. Taaibos Cottage is without a doubt highly recommended! Nos. I have to mention it, because it's unheard of for us. The shower's water is immediately hot!

Situated off the N2 on-route to Rheenendal in Knysna, this accommodation has it all, from a tranquil swimming pool, to Wi-Fi and Netflix. We were a family of five and was easily accommodated. The cottage we stayed in had very comfy seating in the lounge area and there was a big screen television set. I love the architecture and the surroundings was absolutely beautiful! I highly recommend this cottage.
An amazing place with amazing views. The view is an extra bonus and the fireplace in the bedroom. Quiet and remote. We even stayed another night longer. We will definitely return.
We stayed at Sagewood Cottage where we were welcomed by the host. We were pleasantly surprised by the large outdoor veranda, which includes a table tennis table, hammock and dart board. There is also an outdoor trampoline to enjoy. The cottage was well-equipped and comfortable.
The cottage is surrounded with nature's beauty and sounds - would have loved to stay longer but will definitely be back. A bonus was the picturesque view and beautiful decor and tranquility of the cottage!

It's quite far outside Knysna, 10km NNW, on the edge of the forest. The Taaibos "cottage" is a large space of interconnected rondawels with 2 bedrooms, a huge kitchen and lounge, a lavish bathroom and a big deck with a braai and pool and beautiful view over the Rheenendal valley. Right from the back door, you can go on walks deep into the wild indigenous forest. Buck and loeries come into the garden (sometimes baboons too, I believe). The hosts are friendly and relaxed.
The cottage is centrally located for guests who want to explore the garden route.
