Very pleasant overnight in a comfortable room with an outside patio. Hosts were most welcoming and provided us with a delicious packed breakfast as we needed to depart early. Easy access close to the main thoroughfare.

Beautiful against the mountains of Sedgefield. Very close to several beaches. Close to shops and a petrol station. Good insulation and very cozy. Friendly people who are always ready to help sort out any problems to make you comfortable. I will definitely book there again on our next vacation.
It was never an issue for Jenny to do anything for us, very hospitable, friendly and the rooms and dining area are spotless.

Very friendly service, but room very cramped. No air conditioning or roof fan. At least the hostess made a standing fan available to us. Breakfast was delicious.

Hostess (Jenny) and her husband looked after us well and the room and facilities were clean and tidy. They were also accommodating and allowed us to leave later at no extra charge. The only negative comment I can mention (which you can't do anything about) is that the guest house is close to the main street and that the road noise might bother some people. However, it is well located to get to other places.

We were treated like family. Had access to the living room, kitchen, dining room. That was what made it so nice. We were carried on our hands. Jenny went out of her way to make us feel at home, and to collect leaflets to give us advice on where to go. This after she asked us what we liked, etc. I haven't had such personal, caring attention in a long time. We just felt special.

My wife and I were on a trip through the Garden Route for our wedding anniversary and had a great stay in Forestview Guesthouse. Our privacy was respected and a lot of effort was made to make us feel at home.
Forestview is very well situated and the grounds very pleasant. The room was easy for my husband to access on crutches and the owner Jenny and her partner were extremely helpful and accommodating. The room we had was very big and comfortable and included a huge armchair for my husband to relax in. Although the decor is somewhat dated, the value for money and the friendliness of the hosts makes that a minor detail.

Just warn guests that the guesthouse is close to a busy road and the noise from the traffic was very bad.
Although the photos on the website paint a picture, it's not quite what you get, we felt it was misleading. The bedding was stained and old and the mattresses had seen better days. The bin in the room does not have a lid and is simply lined with a plastic shopping bag. The bath towels are worn and old and way too much decor (old) in the room. It is also a bit full and little space to be able to put something like your bag etc. comfortably. The place was neat and clean but we felt it was completely overpriced compared to the other places we stayed.
Although the room was clean, the decor is old and shabby. Coffee cups were just upside down on a plastic, 1 ply toilet paper, Ricoffy coffee, soap container was a plastic container that is only refilled and label already comes off. Lots of noise from main road throughout the night. You park behind a gate but the cars are accessible from the garden gate.
Will use the guest house again.
I can't complain about the accommodation, we were well received even though it was already after 19:00. Our host and his wife were very friendly and had a nice chat, I recommend Forestview Gastehuis to all my friends, and would like to stay there again in the future. Thank you Forestview Guesthouse.

The service was excellent. You feel very much at home. What makes it feel even more like your home is that the owner chats with you while she prepares your breakfast and welcomes you by name. Also has a very nice view to the side of the mountain from where "paragliding" is done.

Although it is an older place with older furniture (antiques) we were very impressed with how neat and clean the rooms were. The owner and staff were also very friendly, but by no means to the extent that our privacy was compromised.

The setup is somewhat peculiar in that one shares the guest house's kitchen with the other guests. It was clean but required guests to sync their usage. We had a good barbecue two nights and the barbecue area was cleaned for us. Their shower facilities are excellent.
Forestview has a good location just off the thoroughfare through town, and also close to the restaurants. My room was large and clean with an en-suite bathroom - good for the price. I would have liked an outside sitting area with tables and chairs. The towels in the bathroom were worn out, and the shower head is small. For a short stay it is very reasonable value - the owners are friendly.

We are happy to recommend this guest house to travelers on that route. Environment also very nice and recommend a quick drive down to the beach area, before traveling on. Eateries and garage diagonally opposite the main street.

The most outstanding feature of this establishment is that it is extremely clean and very well run. Our room was comfortable and we had direct access to the lounge and kitchen. The three other guests were very friendly and we had pleasant chats with them and our hosts. It was interesting sitting virtually in the kitchen while the owner (a qualified and experienced chef) prepared our breakfast. We all parted as if we were friends of long standing. Really a pleasant stay!!!
Nice and clean accommodation. A little too close to the N2 though. You'll need a car to going to the beach, however they have an excellent breakfast. As well as friendly and helpful landlords.
It was absolutely amazing, and our entire family felt the same. We got lots of tips from the hosts, and they made our stay one filled with precious memories.nWe were treated like kings, our breakfast was ready when we came out of our room, the house is furnished beautifully with gorgeous accessories, all very African. When you want to braai, Ken sorts everything out for you, you just have to light the fire! Thank you so much for sacrificing your lives to ensure others have a good time!nAnd Ken and Jenny are so kind to the children, our little boy had the time of his life! It's absolutely worth it to visit Forest View Guest House!!!
