Good service ever and kind staff.
The stay was lovely and I enjoyed the horse riding.
Unfortunately, I can't say the same about the restaurant. Very disappointed with their service.
Baboons are very bold.
Nice stay, but I would have liked a comfortable couch in the living room. The 2 bucket seats are terribly uncomfortable. I also feel that the price of R190 per person for a buffet breakfast is excessive for what you get. The putt-putt course has been neglected and can be cleaned daily. The pool and area around the pool are beautiful!
The apartment was unbearably filthy, which completely ruined my stay.
Blyderivier Resort is a very nice place, very nice accommodation, but I sense that the management is starting to neglect the place and that "quality control" has relaxed. Maybe it has to do with the fact that I checked in on a Sunday afternoon. To give an example, the putt-putt course needs serious maintenance and at least the workers could at least blow it clean daily with a leaf blower, but in my opinion it might only be done one day a week. There are also a few other little foxes that the management will have to pay attention to in order to prevent the resort from following the same path as Eskom. That said, the location is great, the views are fantastic, plenty of walking paths (which I couldn't walk due to time constraints). There is a lot to do, it is a very nice resort and I was sorry I could only spend one night there.

Our bathroom ceiling had lots of damp,. Shower door is missing a handle. . No Oven. Aircon in dining room not working. Passage wall paint peeling. Bedroom cupboard broken. Lampshades in bedroom not working.
Single accommodation very small, and carpets stink in room. Baboons are a big problem.
Some of the facilities need renovation, such as the putt-putt course. The shop is well equipped. The staff are friendly and helpful. We do miss a bottle of gin and a bottle of whiskey. The outstanding negative is the pesky baboons. Someone is going to get hurt!
Anyone can put it on their bucket list as a place to go on vacation.
Truly a wonderful resort with very friendly and helpful staff. The quiet setting with exquisite sun rises is a photographers dream. So sad to be back in the mad rush after the relaxing time spent at Blyde Canyon Forever Resort.

Lovely facilities for very active individuals and even for the not so fit. I managed the easy hike and enjoyed the view points dispite being overweight and unfit. Something for everyone.
We really enjoyed our stay, the view from the upper viewpoint is simply outstanding.
Self-catering accommodation is of the best quality. Access to incredible views in nature. Hiking trails are well signposted and offer unforgettable experiences.

It's beautiful there, wonderful stay, except for people in chalets opposite where we stayed who made noise throughout the night and kept us from sleeping.
There is so much to do. We could keep the children busy from morning to night. Very beautiful and easy hiking trails.
Shower was in bad order. No 'extras' that I would expect, eg regular cutting board was missing. Staff were friendly and responded quickly to light bulb failure and brought extra towels. The website offers boat trips, but on inquiry it is at Swadini (90km away) the restaurant gets zero stars, the service was beyond bad. Food was reasonable and so were the prices.

May you please have more horses, so that it can accommodate more people for horse riding.
Stay was nice. Only the bedrooms of the self-catering units' curtains are private. The kitchen overlooks the bedroom, no privacy. Everyone can see from there into your bedroom if your kitchen's interior door is open. Forever Resort should please all units' curtains replaced with thicker privacy curtains.

The resort is well cared for with beautiful lawns and clean swimming pools. Our chalet was very clean and the bed was of good quality, we slept well on the mattress, also good linen. The view of the Three Rondavels was unfortunately poor due to cloudiness. Our breakfast in the Kadisi restaurant was very nice. We will go back for sure, was just there for one night, but it would be nice to relax there for about 3 days.
Our stay was wonderful. The scenery is breathtakingly beautiful. It's quiet and very neat. Even the store impressed me. Would have enjoyed an indoor heated pool.
They will have to get rid of the baboons. There was a big one loitering around the chalets. Got into our kitchen once. It clearly has become accustomed to looking for food in the resort rather than in the veld. It is a matter of time before it attacks someone. I think kids are especially vulnerable and it can maim a kid easily. All it takes is a kid stumbling into a kitchen where the baboon came through a window. If it is in any way trapped or struggling to get out it will turn on the child. If I were in charge of the resort I would definitely get rid of them. We were always worried about any open window. Not nice especially when it is warm.
20 years ago it was one of the top destinations in the country, but the maintenance needed at such a place is not being done. It seems that only emergency maintenance is being done. But still very pleasant experience but expensive for what you get.

Units were very neat and very well equipped with even unexpected extras. The location of the resort can't be beteer. Amazing view over 3 rondavels. The only problem was that we couldn't stay longer!
Coming from Belgium on a road trip through Kruger Park and the Blyde River area, we were rather nervous travelling the area but the directions were spot on and easy to follow. Check in and out - smooth, efficient and friendly accommodation - clean and well stocked. Restaurant with buffet breakfast and dinner was very good and the staff kind and helpful. And the laundry service/facility was excellent.
Very nice stay, only the constant power outages were a problem and the availability of commodities like ice and basic food was a problem.

The accommodation could be better for the amount you pay. The light bulbs was not working. Why not a double bed in one of the bedrooms if its a couple?. TV channels unacceptable, as well of poor quality. No bread toaster and after request one, got another dysfunctional one.

The units were well furnished, and very tidy. Where I think they can improve, is to get rid of the carpets, it's gross and the rooms have a musty smell. After day two, you don't really notice it anymore, but it's definitely not a good first impression. I was grossed out by the blanket too, we all know blankets are not always washed after each guest. The bedding is a bit dated. I had to have one of those armbands around my wrist at all time, which made me feel like I was at OppiKoppi a little bit. We did not want to wear it all the time, because we are not at a rock show or a festival. It's a very stupid thing to wear during your vacation. Otherwise we really enjoyed it very much, the reception staff were incredibly friendly, everything further was amazing we enjoyed our time very much.

We enjoyed our stay a lot and the resort is very neat. The two-bedroom self-catering unit is convenient and we enjoyed the stay. The resort is situated well with beautiful scenery and attractions in the area. Will book there again.

Impossible to beat Blyderivierspoort's location and natural beauty. The buildings are beautiful and stone-built. Unfortunately the same cannot be said of the interior. 1. Stains on the blankets. Gross to try and sleep under it. 2. The carpets haven't been cleaned for at leas a year, full of stains. Wear shoes or slippers when you walk on the carpets. 3. Kitchen curtains are so thin you don't have any privacy. The people outside look right into your kitchen and your bedroom. 4. Guest accommodation with only 2 coffee sachets, 2 sugar sachets and no tea. At this price we expected much better quality and quantity. At the previous place we got much better service and much more for R400 per night. Beautiful place but unkempt.
The surrounding area is clean, rooms clean and well organised.
I'll come back in summer - eish, the cold was too much for me!
Luxury accommodation with the most beautiful hiking trails and nature! Everything is there, just take clothes, food and drinks and if you forgot something there is a cute little shop. Very cute restaurant too! Thank you very much it was lovely - will rest there again.

The resort made a mistake with our stay. We booked through LekkeSlaap for 4-star chalets. Includes 2 bedrooms, double bed, single beds, kitchen, bathroom, lounge/TV, dining room. When we arrived at the chalet it was very small with 2 bedrooms with 4 single beds. Only kitchen with small table for 4. Immediately things did not look and feel right according to photos and description of LekkeSlaap. Children were hungry so we lit a fire so food could cook. Went back to reception and asked them to check as things did not match what we thought we had paid for. Receptionist went to management and after a while he came to apologize and gave us keys to other chalets. Apologized and said we could check and take our luggage, they would send cleaners to clean up at the first chalet. I am very grateful that they fixed it for us as soon as possible without stopping. The 4-star chalets are really very nice and we had a great time there. Will visit the resort again anytime and stay in 4-star chalets. The 3 star is not intended for family, especially not with children.

The fact that some two-bed chalets have no living room is not clearly stated in the advertisement. The specific chalets are definitely not value for money. It is almost inconceivable that there is no hanging cabinet or dressing table.
It will be best to bring your own food and self-cater.

The chalet was clean and neat and comfortable. We ate at the restaurant every night and the food and service was fantastic and it really is value for money.

The fridge didn't work and neither did the stove. For the price one would hope they do better maintenance. There were also many guests who played loud music from their cars, and threw rubbish from car windows.

Although we didn't camp, I will definitely go back to camp as it is by far one of the best campsites I have seen.
