The food that was prepared was incredibly delicious and the rooms are incredibly beautiful and tidy!
Het jy al ooit gedroom dat jy in die bos kan bly, maar tog ook strand toe kan gaan binne minute? Wat van n privaat strand? Wel jy het dit gevind. Verblyf is amazing. Gasvryheid boonste rakke. Game drives vir spotgoedkoop. Ek sal weer gaan.
Our stay at Fort D'Acre was exactly what we hoped for. Luxurious accommodation, delicious meals, a competent hostess, quiet and white beaches. The lodge is situated on a game farm and we have had the privilege of seeing a variety of wildlife as well as a beautiful turtle, warthogs, kittens and a variety of birds. Ostriches visited the waterhole near the house and we could watch them from our bed. The cabana at the beach was a great bonus and we could sit there at night watching the sun set over the sea. On request, dinner is available in the form of a braai. Definitely worth a visit.
The service was excellent and the staff were very helpful in accommodating us. The room was also very comfortable with lots of space. We didn't have enough time to explore the farm and watch the game, but the view of the forest and the sea was very nice. The only negative thing I can say is that the main road runs very close to the home and so one constantly hears cars and trucks driving past. Apart from that, we had a great night's sleep and the breakfast was delicious too.
We had a very nice stay. Good food, good facilities and we will go back again with the rest of the family.
There are few places where you can enjoy nature and wildlife, and just be by the sea. But Fort D'Acre is such a place. All the rooms have a view of the sea and estuary, while the wildlife comes to graze very close to the house. Enjoy a game drive on a windy day, lie by the pool, or otherwise enjoy the ocean on one of the nearby beaches. The service is indescribably good, rounded and luxurious. Nothing is too much trouble. Very nice full breakfasts that are a little different every morning. Definitely recommend for a family holiday!
