Our stay was very relaxing, and we found that the cottage exceeded our expectations. The facilities were far more than mentioned on your website, for example, a hair dryer, coffee, tea, coffee plunger, and battery lights for load shedding outages. Guests should just be aware that the water supply is pressurised and therefore down during load shedding.

We were heartily welcomed and the cottage is beautiful, but not practical for pets. All pet-friendly places should allow for a fenced-in garden so that animals can be secure. Control measurements must be integrated. The bridge crossing from the car to the cottage was loose (front right corner). Pierre struggles to walk and has been on disability for the past 15 years and nearly lost his balance. Allowing pets does not = pet-friendly. Cancellations should be dealt with by the booking agent and ensure that in the event that the goods offered meet the requirements of the client. Owners should not be allowed to directly contact the client as they aren't customer service reps, they are merely a host, acting as an intermediary. We called as soon as we secured alternative pet-friendly accommodation and explained why it's not suitable. The agent acknowledged that the owner of the property was merely consistently calling to apologise for the bridge. Due to misleading info and the safety incident that occurred, we should have been reimbursed the full amount.

Beautiful, peaceful surroundings. The 'cottage' is equipped with everything you need. You don't even miss a TV, because it's too nice to sit outside or walk around the farm. The service was very good. What a great help that we were kept informed of the power outages. If I have to 'complain' about something, it's the road which is very bumpy in places. One has to drive extra carefully because there are holes and in places larger stones.

We had an incredibly nice weekend on the beautiful Fraaigelegen farm, lovely swimming pool, and a beautiful quiet and peaceful environment. Cabernet cottage has everything one needs to relax for a weekend (or longer!). We were kindly received and had a great time.

Everything was neat. My daughter had fun running around on the grass. The only aspect that was not pleasant was with loadshedding is the water off. But the owner informed us about it ahead of time. Furthermore, we had a very nice stay. Will definitely come again.

The owners made us feel very welcome. Venishree and Juergen received us warmly and made us feel at home. The cottage is located in a beautiful environment. Mountains, vineyards, olive groves with plenty of space to walk and explore. Wonderful birdlife and an absolute treat for the eye and soul. The cottage is basic and equipped as described. All in working and good condition. Delicious linen and mattresses make the night's rest refreshing. Wolsely and Tulbagh are close by with great places to visit if you so choose. We had a great time.

Just what we needed for a proper breakaway. So quiet and peaceful, 10 minutes drive to Tulbagh centre. Will definitely return in winter to explore some more. The hospitality from Venishree and Juergen was top class, all information we needed was provided and they were always available when we needed to ask anything, but had all the privacy we needed too. Loved the fact we could have our dog there too! Cottage neat and tidy and had everything you would need. Beautiful walking through the olive trees and vineyards which were ready to harvest too. Could not recommend this place highly enough! Will return soon again.

The setting is beautiful, the Olive Cottage was simple yet functionally furnished, everything was there that we needed. Linen and towels were of top top quality. The stream outside the cottage was a big win for our small son and furry Labrador. Walks on the farm were glorious and even a mountain bike ride was possible. Hosts were very friendly and attentive, communication was excellent. I would highly recommend this farm as it’s far enough away from Cape Town to get away from city bustle yet close enough for a weekend getaway!

The cottage has the basic essentials. Our previous olive/wine farm provided their olive oil for us to sue and a bottle of wine , rusks, a farm bread etc. That just seemed friendlier. The laundry service at Fraaigelegen was fabulous.

What a beautiful and tranquil getaway this is. We loved the sounds of the birds and the beautiful sunrise and sunsets. The hosts really gave us a warm welcome and made us feel right at home and they personally delivered the fresh farm eggs we ordered. We stayed in the Shiraz cottage. It was very nice and clean and has everything you would need for the weekend, including utensils for the braai. We would recommend Fraaigelegen to family and friends anytime and would also love to go back there ourselves. Awesome weekend getaway!

Fraaigelegen really is in a beautiful setting, and very well located - close to Tulbagh, Wolseley and Ceres. The surroundings are beautiful, and the cottage is well equipped with quality bedding, crockery etc. Our host and wife's welcome was warm, and they make sure guests have everything they need. This is a beautiful place. The cottages are well equipped and clean. One sits calmly with a glass of wine in hand and gazes over the pond in front of you. A nice hearth for the winter months and open, quiet nights to sit and watch the starry sky. Our hostess makes sure that everything is in order and makes sure that the fire is burning in the fireplace when you arrive. We were also able to take our 2 Jack Russel puppies with us and they enjoyed the outdoors. The accommodation is centrally located for visiting Tulbagh, Ceres and Wolseley areas.

The unit is relatively spacious with good internet reception. It offers peaceful and quiet accommodation and is well located for easy access to a range of surrounding towns (including Ceres golf course). The owner and her manager were extremely friendly and helpful. Would love to stay there again.
We had a wonderful family weekend. 2 Minutes away from Tulbagh and all the wine farms. The cottages have wonderful views and lovely trail runs just on the doorstep.
Lovely comfortable bed, pure white, clean bed linen and towels. Just one small problem: both the upper and lower door on the North side and the built-in wardrobe in the master bedroom are hinged so flat, which makes it difficult to close the doors. Juergen and Vaneshree received us kindly and made us feel welcome. Vaneshree's welcome note was warm and sincere. We really enjoyed the two days. The scenery is beautiful, despite the drought. (The water saving instructions when using the toilet were somewhat ambiguous.)

We are a family of 4 who were at Graaigelegen for the long weekend. Accommodation is clean and spider free. Good facilities with open lawn for children to ride bikes and run around while the adults sit on the veranda and have a barbecue. Thanks for a great experience!

We stayed in Shiraz. Lovely large, modern shower. We enjoyed every sunset with a glass of bubbly on the large patio with the fir crackling next to us. The fresh mountain air and tranquility was wonderful and we were able to recharge completely.
