We initially wanted to sleep only on Friday and Saturday night, but then decided on the impulse to sleep on Thursday night as well. The unit was neat and clean. We had everything we needed. Francisco Villa is perfect if you want to be close to Clarens, but the flood of tourists over a weekend makes you anxious. Only 6 km from Clarens, just the plains, mountains and a few goats. It was perfect for us.
The hosts were very accomodating. We had a good time. The house is very neat.

What a beautiful and cozy place. We had a good time, with a crackling fire, on the stoep that evening. The hostess was very nice and immediately made us feel at home. We would like to visit the place again. Quiet and away from the noise. Keep up your good service.

I cannot recommend this place enough - the rooms as great sizes, each ensuite, the gardens are immaculate with an abundance of wildlife seen just next door, and the host, Grietjie - she is too wonderful for words, so kind, accommodating (allowed for early check-in) and gave us the best suggestions of places to go. The amount of thoughtfulness invested in this place, from having a games cupboard to leaving fresh fruit and rusks for guests. We will certainly be returning!
Attention to detail. Biscuits, fresh milk and an Easter egg for each of us, fresh cosmos flowers to welcome us. So quiet and peaceful, really enjoyed our weekend. Thank you Grietjie.
Beautiful location just outside Clarens. Electric fencing. Five bedrooms, all with bathroom and shower. Lovely farm visit.
The place is very nice and relaxed. A relaxed home away from home. It would be nice if there was charcoal added to the wood basket, and to check if the guests are in need of transport to the shopping centre for convenience.
Everything was beautiful and everyone was friendly and very calm.
Grietjie needs to put something in place for loadshedding! The water supply works through a pump so during loadshedding the water pressure is virtually nonexistent.

Grietjie received us very kindly and we really enjoyed the farm atmosphere. My grandchildren were very excited when they saw the nyalas. We really enjoyed our time there and will definitely go there again.

We enjoyed a lovely weekend, the villa is tidy and very well equipped. Secure parking and the surroundings ensure peace of mind for anyone who wants to fully enjoy their time in Clarens.
Our hostess called us and recommended the safest way. On the way she called again to hear how we were progressing and to give further directions. Arriving there, we were surprised to see a Nyala herd next to the house's fence. The cottage we stayed in was perfect! Bedroom, and open-plan kitchen-living room. Neat, clean and fully equipped. Beautiful thick grass carpet to the front and securely fenced with electric fencing. A real gem.
We had a wonderful time relaxing, hanging out and staying so nice. Perfect location with the tranquility of the farm but also the convenience and enjoyment of Clarens and Golden Gate. Thanks to Grietjie for the warm welcome, pampering and hospitality. We look forward to your next visit.
I rate Francisco Guesthouse the best guesthouse in Clarens! They easily accommodate large groups, however, if you are a just two people it offers you enough privacy while still being able to enjoy what Francisco has to offer. The location is only 10 minutes drive from Clarens central. All the rooms are spacious and the interior is immaculate. The kitchen and open plan sitting room is the heart of the guesthouse. Making it a wonderful place to spend quality time with family and friends. The fully equipped kitchen means only have to bring your food and not worry about anything else. The gardens and entire property is beautiful and well- kept. Another feature is that it is so safe. A big thank you to the owner of the guesthouse, Tannie Grietjie. She made our stay comfortable, catered to all our needs and went above and beyond. I would recommend Francisco Guesthouse to anyone- you will not be disappointed.

The lovely little place surrounded by natural beauty is very modernly furnished and has everything you need for a long weekend break. The bed is very comfortable with fluffy bedding to keep you warm in Clarens' cool weather. The bathroom is clean and tidy. Any minimalist's dream!

Had a lovely stay. Bed and bedding were good. If there is what is needed. Do have the soap etc. missed on the sink. Quiet and safe place to stay out of town.
Unfortunately, there is a mouse/rat or a small rodent that scurried all night and chewed on something tasty in the roof right above the bedroom. Kept us up a bit. Other than that it was very pleasant.
The Villa is very tidy, safe, modern and quiet, would easily return for a future visit.

The farmstead did not just receive a guest house nameplate on the gate, the farmstead was, in its entirety, transformed into a guest house. It makes the stay, whether you are one group of 10 or 5 groups of 2 each, just a pleasure. The electric fence provides peace of mind for the people who don't necessarily want to sleep in the middle of the tourist mecca that Clarens has become, and instead want to enjoy a farm break. We really had the best of both worlds.

We were a group of motorbikes touring Lesotho and what a fantastic place to stay. Everything was clean, neat and whole and our hostess, Grietjie, received us warmly. Because Francisco is a short distance from Clarens, it is nice and quiet, but close enough to go shopping.
We only stayed there for one night. We were warmly welcomed by Grietjie and immediately felt at home. The unit we stayed in was very neat and clean. It is very peaceful and quiet on the farm and we also felt safe.

Francisco Guest House was truly a cozy home away from home. As they say in English: "your home away from home". Grietjie is an incredibly friendly hostess who made sure everything was in place for us. The guest house has a lovely farmhouse feel where you can stay comfortably together in one house and can visit around the dining room table with a lovely indoor barbecue/fireplace. The location is also excellent, with only 6 km from town you feel remote and peaceful, but it's not too far to go to town either.
Grietjie immediately made us feel at home. This is the first time we have stayed outside of Clarens and I have already booked with Francisco again for our next trip. This time I take family and friends with me.
I can recommend the guest house if you want to enjoy peace and quiet. There is an electric fence and we felt safe. We stayed in the villa and it was very tastefully decorated. We just made new friends with Grietjie and Hardus. The time there was just too short. We plan to have our family gathering there.

Really surprised with the neat and golden reception. Very well laid out and location offers a golden opportunity for quiet traffic. Luckily there were other visitors, especially the two ladies who provided good company otherwise it would have been extremely quiet for a solo traveller.

The service and hospitality at Francisco Guesthouse was top notch. The neat, delicious old farmhouse has a character of its own with an indoor barbecue that invites you to hang out in the evening. The rooms are beautiful and very comfortable. We had a great time and would love to go back again.
