Heather and David are great hosts, a great welcoming and farewell. There was nothing that we needed that was not available. Truly pet friendly with our own yard for the dogs.

Well, when we realized it was the last day it was a sad one. Our visit was so pleasant. Felt very welcome, and simply became friends. Would definitely recommend, even Beeno our puppy was so pampered.

From the initial booking to our check-out, everything was handled in a professional and efficient way. The welcome was warm and friendly; she showed us around and explained where everything was and how things worked. She kept us updated on the load-shedding schedule and responded promptly to enquiries during our stay. Franklin House was spotlessly clean (apart from the outside of the stove) and is well-equipped. The enclosed garden was lovely for us to relax in and for our 2 Staffies to explore safely. The ample on-site, under-cover parking was an added bonus. The house is very well-located in terms of access to major routes. A most enjoyable and comfortable stay with a charming hostess.

Heather's place, Franklin House, is amazing! Heather feels like an old friend and her hospitality is truly something special. We arrived as guests and left as friends. The house itself is beautiful, with a lovely garden for our 2 dachshunds, secure parking behind a gate, a delicious indoor braai and an excellent lounge for watching the rugby. It was a safe haven during a stressful time in our lives. We will definitely visit there again.

The place was very beautiful. Heather's hospitality from the moment we arrived was beyond our fire pit. The TV and lights that were on all the time despite load shedding. The place is nice and big with the braai inside, we enjoyed ourselves. Thanks Heather. You are tops.
The hot water in the bathroom was not very hot, more lukewarm, it was very cold with no heater or warm blankets, but it was difficult with a baby in the cold house without any heat. Other than that, had a nice stay.
We had a lovely, relaxing, comfortable stay at Franklin's place. We were warmly welcomed and Heather always communicated daily with any important information. We will definitely be back. Thanks once again Heather.

Heather and David were incredible hosts. They went out of their way to assist me. They were so friendly and welcoming. The house was beautiful and had everything I needed. And my dog loved the huge garden. I will definitely be recommending them to friends and family.

Living room sofas were a big draw for me because you can relax and watch TV, the house also has everything you need, a very nice place to hang out in the kitchen, and the turtles also come to say hello to us in the morning. Water pressure in the shower was only very weak, but you can overlook it if you just want to wash quickly.
Highly recommend Franklin House to any traveler visiting the province.
The accommodation is conveniently located with secure parking for vehicles under a cover. Lovely large kitchen/barbecue area, as well as large screen TV with full DStv package. Owners live on site, and are very helpful with any further needs. Thank you very much, nice stay.

Franklin House was very centrally located and we could easily get to our destinations in Cape Town. We were very warmly received and the accommodation is very homely and there were no shortcomings. Many thanks to Heather and David for the cozy way in which you made us feel at home. We will use Franklin House again anytime in the future and recommend it to other people as well.
Everything was great, owners may get WiFi uncapped, especially families with children where parents may have to do zoom meetings, it is necessary.
We would like a table to sit and eat at, the fridge is not adequate, it is only a type of "bar fridge" and not suitable for making/storing ice. There is also no place to freeze your meat. There is also no tray and few "utensils" available. Whisk, steak knives, serving bowls and spoons to use on the table at the meal. The Wi-Fi is also only available at one spot in the entire area.
