The second bedroom is equipped with 2 three-quarter size beds and has a shower and toilet, en suite. There is a sleeper couch in the lounge for an extra 2 children.
The open-plan kitchen is well equipped and contains a fridge, a microwave, an oven with a gas stove, and built-in cupboards. The adjacent living area features a fireplace to warm the cottage in winter months. The living area leads out to the veranda and garden, which features a braai area, a plunge pool and an outdoor shower.
There are walks around the farm and a glass shop to buy glass and nut products to take home.
Frida's View is ideally located within close proximity to various wedding venues, and is situated 18 km from the town of Haenertsburg. There is a steep drive up to the cottage, but any car that does not have very low ground clearance will be able to access Frida's View.

Incredible venue, just wish we could have stayed longer. Accidentally left things behind and the owner couriered it to us with no issues. Amazing place!

Lovely place, clean, very neat and beautiful. I know it is a mountain lodge and I expected a rough road to get there, but I did not realise it was a very rough road, not really suitable for normal cars. However, it is worth the drive to get there.
Frida's View is excellent. We had such a nice stay here. Just as sorry we only spent one night here, one should spend longer here. Everything was tasteful, neat, clean and functional. The bonus was that the beds had top sheets - this is lacking in most places and I feel it is actually so essential.
Received very friendly service, it was peaceful, quiet and clean. The owners were very helpful and the hiking trails are beautiful. Would recommend the place to anyone.

The cottage is located on a beautiful avocado farm. The owners have thought of everything, the house is even more beautiful than in the photos.
Elspeth and Ralph immediately made us feel welcome and very friendly. You will look far to find a better place. We will definitely visit again.
Large unit with all the required amenities and more in the most beautiful setting imaginable. It is high up in the mountains and secluded from the other units on the property. The owners are very friendly and helpful and there are a few hiking trails on the property (going up the mountain). There are multiple restaurants near to the farm along the mountain pass, or about 20 minutes away in Haenertzburg.
The house was neat and clean. Ralph and Elspeth are both friendly and accommodating, as is Lawrence who looked after the braai facilities. The hospitality was great and the views were more than enough to make us want to go back. Definitely worth it!
The hospitality of Elspeth and her husband is fantastic. The house was tidy and the personal note to welcome me was special. The house has everything you need to enjoy your stay. The view and surroundings are incredibly beautiful and you find yourself in the silence. I can't wait to go back.
Words cannot describe the absolute success that was our trip. The house has the most miraculous views and it is just special. The cottage is clean, modern with antique touches. Absolutely spic and span. The outside shower is everything, looking onto mountains. The dipping pool was just perfect for our 4 year old daughter. We also enjoyed some macadamia nuts fresh from the farm given to us by our host Elspeth. What an amazing lady. We truly had a joyous experience!

We were very impressed with Frida's View. Not only is the location beautiful, but it is also one of the best self-catering units we have stayed in. It had everything. And it was so clean and tidy. They even put a net over the pool for us when they heard we had a busy 1 year old boy. Absolute value for money and perfect for a weekend away!

Well thought out, well equipped and comfortable, luxurious accommodation. It is a wonderful break in nature in a quiet environment. Ideal for someone who just wants to relax in nature. Short walks along the river. Haven't seen so many butterflies in a long time. The dirt road can be a challenge in rainy weather for a sedan vehicle.
