We booked dinner as there is no a la carte restaurant on site, delicious food with GF and DF options specially catered for, thank you very much! Tents are large and luxurious and comfortable and spotless with hot showers with a beautiful view. Was a perfect stopover on the way to Namibia, very sorry we didn't book at least two nights. The stay at Frontier River Lodge was great. Dirk and Steph made us feel very at home and welcome. The meals are delicious and quality! The facilities are very neat and will definitely stop here again! If you are looking for an overnight stay between RSA and Namibia, very close to the border post, we can definitely recommend this place!
Better than expected. Very conveniently close to the border post. Meals were excellent and the host and hostess went out of their way to welcome us and make us feel at home.
We had a very relaxing stay in one of the tents overlooking the Orange River. The next morning we were treated to a lovely breakfast, while appreciating a beautiful sunrise, by the hosts and their adorable son. All and all a great experience after a full day of travelling.

Good communication and good reception on arrival. Very friendly and helpful owners. Beautiful view of the Orange River with North Shore on the opposite side. Comfortable place to stay and nice glamping experience. Was able to cool off in the pool. Because we always carry a terrible pack cheese with us, the walk and carry to our place of residence was quite a distance, but due to the beautiful layout can't help it.

We were received very kindly. Room very clean and tidy. However, we were disappointed in the misleading photos displayed under "room". This makes it appear as if the braai facilities are private, but they are however common facilities that are shared with other guests. Luckily we were the only ones there.
Graham and Christine were gracious hosts, very friendly and informative. We virtually had the place to ourselves! We will definitely be back for another canoe trip down the Gariep.

It helps a lot that the owners have very good suggestions about what to do around the resort, lying as it does at some distance from the Oranjerivier. The 22 km along the river and the farms to the Regtersvelt are great. Accommodation is good and the owners very helpful and social in many ways.
Everything was very fine except we thought it relatively expensive and the distance to carry our bags from the car and back is too far.
The accommodation is excellently located at Vioolsdrift's border post. The tents are extremely comfortably furnished with a beautiful view of the river and Namibia. The owners are very hospitable and feel like family after just one night's stay. We will definitely stay there again.

The perfect overnight stop on the way to Namibia. Rooms were a nice surprise. Als is nice clean and tidy. We could have a nice own barbecue that evening. Cicile and her husband are very hospitable and friendly. They also arranged a paddle on the river for us on the last day. Thank you very much. We'll see you again!
