You can see that FunkyTown was once a very lekker place to stay, but it really needs some TLC. Maybe it is looking a bit run down because of the impact of COVID-19 restrictions.
I would recommend the units to someone just passing through and staying the night. Amenities are adequate but lack attention to appearance and detail. We only got one face towel for four nights, there was no floor mat in the room, the chair in front of the mirror was lumbar and dangerous to sit on. I'm not sure if Funky Town deserves its rating. The gates to the back yard parking did not function properly resulting in me damaging one.

I was under the impression that the place has a sea view which is not the case. Photos are a bit misleading, it looks like you have a whole unit with a kitchen, which is not the case. It's like a bed and breakfast without the breakfast, you share the kitchen with other guests. And no TV's which made it unpleasant when it rained. The whole place also smelled of sigarette smoke. Service is great and the place is clean.

At Funky Town you get everything that you don't get at most places in SA these days and that is: friendly, helpful staff who know their job. They immediately make you feel at home and quickly point out what is going on in the area. Definitely value for money. The main icing on the cake was that everything was clean, tidy and in its place. We need more of this caliber of business in SA.
