11 guests' feedbackBut I have not yet received my breakage deposit of R500 back, and it has been a week since our stay. We definitely did not break anything. I have now sent a message to the host, but I feel this is not something I should be asking for and following up on. This should be done automatically.
Did our stay at Gable Cottages No. 4 really enjoyed and will definitely stay there again. The unit is centrally located, safe, nice and spacious, tastefully furnished and has everything you need. Will Gable Cottages No. 4 anytime recommended.
Felt very safe in the house, had a great stay and could walk everywhere.

Positive - Place is beautifully furnished, elegant and stylish. Also equipped with stylish crockery etc. Location is fantastic and the attached garage a great asset. Negative - Unit was not ready for us: 1. Shower head is a "mission" plus shower leaks. 2. Place has many windows, especially porch, windows if dirty. 3. Beautiful sliding doors but middle door does not lock, making it unsafe. 4. There is a duster and electric blankets (not needed!) but fans are definitely needed as it was unbearably hot due to the open windows on the porch. 5. The garage door works with "remote" - open, close the door half way, then open again. 6. A printed document by the TV would go a long way in helping guests navigate to Netflix, especially for those who don't watch Netflix and other channels like PrimeVideo, etc. do not know. I think the owner expects DStv, etc. 7. The owner must read the booklet with comments by previous guests. Everyone has more or less the same issues, but the positive is a beautiful, exquisite place to stay, close to all the events and yet far from the noise.
Unfortunately: The arrangement to get a key from the garage was outdated and no one knew what was going on. Leaving was also a complicated arrangement. The broken goods deposit did not happen. No TV or Wi-Fi signal. There have been complaints about it since September. Garage door did not function properly. Owner is hard to reach and not very involved.
What a great experience. Gable Cottages No. 4 was central, tidy and very comfortable. Will stay there again for sure.
Love, love the place! Real attention to detail. Serene and lovely. Feels like coming home! Lovely team (Kobie and wife) that they are very friendly and welcoming. I will not only return, but recommend to others. Thank you for an excellent stay. You guys were professional in every way.
