Within walking distance to shops and a visit to a larger wine and olive farm is definitely worth it. Warm climate, thanks for the air conditioner in the master bedroom. The gas grill came in handy. To make more use of the microwave, please take care for a bowl that one can use for it. Staff are friendly and helpful.
Excellent location. The decor is minimal but tasteful. A lovely room. The porch is a bonus and nice and cool in the shade. Self-introduction is very easy.
I was in love with the setting there. The location is great, was central. Walking distance to shops and eateries. The room was neat. Host's whatsapp and phone call were good. He was very helpful and quick to help. I will definitely come back again.

Concerned about the safety overnight for cars. Road noise is a bit disturbing. There is no fence around the premises to keep cars safe at night. I was quite worried about my vehicle. The road that runs right past the guest house is quite noisy.
We had an issue with a droning sound in our bedroom throughout the night. There’s no shower screen, and found this rather unpleasant.
Felt unsafe, no burglar bars in front of door. Construction begins directly next to the guest house. Wifi - good. TV - Netflix only. Only stayed 1 of 2 nights due to illness - Refund refused for not being able to rent again at short notice - I can understand that - if the place was fully booked - but the fact that other rooms were empty there was zero chance of our room could be re-rented.
The town, as well as the area, creates an incredibly peaceful atmosphere and we really had a good rest. The bed is a very big yes.

We booked 4 rooms and were absolutely impressed with the neat accommodation. The host went the extra mile to make our stay top class. We have visited Riebeek Kasteel regularly and will definitely book with Gabriella's again.

Room is right next to the main road through town, there is a lot of traffic right through the night and so there is road noise. Otherwise a very nice place.

Value for money 4. We stayed in room 2 with the king size bed. You have everything you need for a comfortable stay. No TV, but a fridge, there is WiFi, air conditioning, a comfortable bed with quality linen, coffee facilities and a nice big bathroom with a large shower. Customer service 4 star, we received very friendly service, but there were issues with the key at check-in and check-out. We appreciated the effort, that the hostess made an arrangement to bring us the key with check-in at 14h00. Perhaps a box can be installed with a code so that if you check in late or check out early, it goes more smoothly. The hostess also gave us a list of nice restaurants where we could have eaten. Cleanliness 5-star, everything was very nice and clean. Location 3-star, the guest house is conveniently located, within walking distance of restaurants and shops. The only downside is, it's located on a busy street with traffic all night as well as people walking around on the sidewalks which can be quite disturbing. Safety 3-star, your car is left open on the site, there is no wall around the guest house. Perhaps a day-night light, or some type of security light, can be installed so that the area where your car is parked is illuminated. If you walked to a restaurant it is also dark up to your room. Room 2 where we stayed is located against the sidewalk. We had a great stay, and can recommend Gabriella's, it is a beautiful guest house with friendly service.

Parking is not fenced, but relatively safe. Rooms are well and tastefully furnished with all the basic necessities. This was our third visit to Isabella's / Gabriella's and will definitely stay there again.
Everything was nicely tidy and clean, would have liked an air-con in room, roof fan made a lot of noise. A blind at the bedroom door will help a lot later. But all in all very nice.

There is an old-fashioned charm to the studio where we stayed. The air conditioning in the room was a welcome relief on the 40 degree day! We were welcomed at the car and immediately felt at home. We felt half neglected, because we only stayed overnight. We haven't even had time to read the books, play chess or explore the beautiful Riebeek Castle again. I have already recommended Katarinas for a longer stay!

The place was excellent for me and my sister for the 2 nights we stayed there. The location is perfect and the atmosphere and reception were excellent. We really enjoyed it - plenty of space plus all the amenities - this makes it an excellent choice.
