We had a very nice stay and slept very comfortably on a wonderful bed. Our unit was tidy and it is wonderfully quiet and peaceful there. We will definitely stay there again.
What a beautiful place! Just what we needed after the long road. Very quiet, safe and private. The room we stayed in was beautiful and very comfortable. We felt very much at home and could have a quiet barbecue outside the house. Will definitely recommend the accommodation and book in there every time I go on holiday. Thank you very much.
Beautiful place and not too far from the N1 which makes it easy to get to. They were helpful with all my queries and requirements. Can definitely order their breakfast if you stay there, it was delicious and definitely worth the price. Received us with open arms and quickly made us feel at home.
Gaggle Inn is in a good location, away from town, easy access to the N1. Clean unit, nice and quiet and not in a hurry. Very private.

I wrote to the owner about some concerns that I had relating to the maintenance not being what it should be and about the lack of washing-up facilities in the room. The owner has been in touch with me and I believe that he is attending to them.
We did not have a nice stay at all. There is a bat nest in the unit and couldn't sleep all night with them flying around.
First, we were taken to the wrong unit which only accommodates 2 people and we are a family of 4. Second, we were taken to a different unit and the door would not lock. Maintenance guy came out but couldn't fix the door. We just slept with chairs in front of the door. Not happy at all with their no care attitude.
This is a gem of a place. The reception was amazing and the people are very friendly and helpful.
The only thing that scared me was the roaring of the lion. The place is awesome.

Friendly reception and the environment is quiet and peaceful. Ideal for overnight on the long road. The roar of lions in the distance or neighboring farm was unexpected and interesting.

Very nice houses. All the amenities you need if you prefer self-catering. You also have the option of an on-site restaurant. Some houses also have WiFi - ask for it otherwise you might get one without it like in my case. The TV channels are very limited - don't expect too much from it.

Second stay at Gaggle Inn. Conveniently located for my travel purposes. Clean accommodation. Maintenance slipping.
Hot water was just hot enough for a shower. Too cold for a bath. Furniture impractical. If old. Bed slept well but noisy when you turn or get up to go to the toilet.
Good and economic. Value for money.
Misleading advertisement. We chose the Deluxe unit with a shower. Then we got a standard unit with a bathtub. With a shower inside the bath. Very impractical and difficult to get into and dangerously slippery. No bathroom mats. Toilet paper was not replenished. There are too many lights (very bright) in the unit that all work on the same switch. Although they advertise free WiFi, it is only available in the dining hall of the complex. Hairdryer is available on request at the office. Chairs and small table under the canopy were very dirty littered by the birds - we could not sit on them.
We are from the city and were a bit skeptic of the fence around the premises, but it was electric. Otherwise it's a very pretty and clean place and will go back.
The chalet is very tidy with a very nice big bed, porch to sit outside. All that bothered was that they didn't know about us, even though everything was paid, then had to check if the place to stay was right and turn on the geyser. Will stay there again.

I was kindly received by Dewald despite my late arrival. The accommodation is ideally situated just off the N1 just outside Kroonstad and the facilities in the room were exceptionally stylish and clean. Also had a delicious breakfast with a fruit cocktail the next morning.
Thank you very much to the hosts. It's a nice place to stay overnight. It is clean and neat, the bed sleeps well and there is enough space for everything. We slept extra night.
It's just a pity there is no breakfast on weekends.
Perfect for our needs. Design of the unit was a bit strange, odd corners cut off in the rooms and bathroom light switch was in the middle of the one bedroom above the bed, weird as the bathroom was in the room next door. Decor wasn't lovely. Saying that, the unit was very clean and comfortable. Dawid was extremely polite and friendly and the whole place was neat and tidy. For our needs the place was perfect and would book again.

Will recommend for family and friends.
On weekends there are parties on that have no respect for other guests, rules don't apply to them, speed limit is 30 km/h, don't apply to party goers, have to listen to them revving engines and playing loud music when rules don't allow loud music not. Very unsafe feeling about the gate not being able to close, 80% of the weekend the power was off. We just decided to pack up and drive very early.
Not great and although it was load shedding they were not geared to assist with candles, 2 pin plugs, etc. There were also no hot water when we arrived to take a shower. The units were also on the side of the road with a lot of noise irrespective of camp not moving.
Value for money, would recommend for accommodation if traveling.

The place is calming, peaceful and relaxing. The owner makes a mean breakfast and hospitality is definitely key. If you’re looking for a place where you can just shut down and forget about everything else around you, this is definitely it! I would recommend this place to anyone anytime.

The quality for the price was very good. Security is good, would just prefer a security guard for the night.
I can recommend the Gaggle Inn. The units are new and well appointed. The beds comfortable. I will definitely use them again when requiring accommodation in Kroonstad. Some suggestions for the units currently being built: Place a sink in the kitchen area. I do not like washing up in the bathroom. For average height people the TV is positioned in an awkward spot, which resulted in me bumping my head 3 times. Have someone at the gate to welcome guests who have already booked. We had to phone to get them to send someone from somewhere to unlock the gates and give us our keys.
Signage still shows Red Bishop and not yet Gaggle Inn, breakfast not yet available as indicated. A sink in the kitchenette would be more convenient, it was quite strange to wash the cups in the bathroom.
It neat, comfortable and farm atmosphere, will definitely go again.
I recommend Gaggle Inn to anyone, affordable, clean, tidy, off the books!
The owners just need to please put up new signs with the place name, make sure there are two correct and reachable phone numbers available, and put up access control that is practical.
Another new place and definitely needs a swimming pool for Kroonstad's hot days.
