Our stay was amazing. The views from the top balcony are stunning as you can see whales playing in the bay. The apartment is a nice size and is made very comfortable with all the modern conveniences, including heated towel rails. There is off-street parking, and the area is very safe.

We had a nice stay. It would have been quite nice if there was something like a starter pack of tea, coffee and sugar and a small milk. Fire when you come for the long haul. Agent very friendly and helpful. After we tried dating that style.

We had a restful stay. It has a lovely view. The home needs some attention. The counter at the sink needs to be looked at, as well as the basin in the top bathroom. We had to advise the gentleman who looks after the home that the bedside lamp was not working. He did bring a new globe. The bathroom upstairs - the shower door was off the rail. Fortunately, we were able to put it back ourselves. The cleaning fee is a lot, especially as it is only cleaned once one leaves. The driveway also needs some attention. This house is not suited for 4 adults (we were only 2).

This was a great place we stayed at. Our view was exceptional, and we even had the privilege of viewing whales from our patio. There were enough heaters in the house for the colder days. While on holiday, we did not cook at all, but the kitchen is stocked with everything needed to make a great meal. Full DSTV was available, but we did not make much use of the TV. Instead, we went on walks within the Jongensfontein area to the public beach and camping area. This is a great place, and we will stay here again when it is our destination.

Great 1st impressions of home, with modern fittings. A little too clean, with lingering smells of bleach that required airing for 1st day. Although self catering, some basics were advertised as being provided, but were not. Fittings, cutlery etc were of excellent quality. Gas braai as an addition to the normal braai area was a bonus for a quick cook. Is a lot less private than expected, as neigbours house looks in on main bedroom and obstructs what would've been an amazing view. That being said, blinds are provided and the view is still great.

"Very good value for money."

The place is clean and tidy, but it lacks a few practical things, such as a shower caddy for one's soap, shampoo, etc. It was previously also mentioned by someone in a review. There is also no storage space for guests' groceries (also mentioned before) - things I would think the owners would address in the meantime. Furthermore, it is very hard for me to say that although our dogs were welcome, the place is really not set up for pets - the stairs are steep and slippery (safety) and you have to take them outside the yard to do their business and then there is nowhere outside a bin to throw the bags away.

We had a great time. The weber grill is very handy. The area behind the house is nice and private and sheltered. I might just want a place to pack groceries such as an island or an extra box. It was really a very good experience for us, except that a seaside holiday and a gas barbecue do not go together. That's the only negative feedback we have. Als was nice, nice and clean. But hanging out around a fire is a make or break for our family to go on holiday in the same house again. It's a great pity, because as already mentioned, the rest is very good.

"Barefoot luxury."

Barefoot luxury – unfussy, picture-perfect and easy. Truly a place where one can take a breath and relax. Honest modern architecture with calm lines, based in a fynbos garden overlooking the sea. I loved the flow of the spaces and layout of the house - it feels like vacation and a welcome break from the norm and routine! The layout of the two bedrooms works well and is carefree. The is a visit and relax house. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and detail of Galeryhuis: original artwork on the walls, by some of our best South African masters, quality bedding and beautiful furniture. The multi-media system works very well. The kitchen is very well equipped. Everything was easy! I can't wait for my next visit!

Very good reception by agent, Danie. Very neat. Needs a few finishing touches such as, for example, bedside tables, bedside lamps, DStv connection, ashtrays in bathrooms, hangers, hanging space for clothes with shelves in upper bedroom, partition for upper bedroom, needs more glassware in kitchen such as small plates etc. Parking place a bit uncomfortable.

"3 nights in the garage."

The name does not apply to the house at all, the art in the house is minimal, just like everything else in the "house" - it is a garage that was converted to an open-plan studio, exactly in the way the description was changed after we checked-in! Minimalist. It isn't 2 bedrooms, the second bed is in the kitchen, or open-plan studio as it is called now, with no privacy if you are not a family who stays there. The room below in the original garage does not have a king-sized bed, even though it is extra long, but it is in the original garage, so the only window is the sliding door in front, and small window in the toilet. Again privacy is a problem, no door if you want to change in the bathroom, you have to drop the blinds in front of the sliding door, same goes for upper level, the poeple next door wolk right to your door and look directly into the bathroom of the minimalist open-plan sudio. The gas was finished on the second night so we didn't have any hot water, and we had to open the next morning for the agent to change the gas canister or to open it, because apparently the people next door closed the gas, the gas canisters are on the lot (2 houses on 1 plot). Basic necessities neede, the kind of thins you would expect to be in place, such as bed tables, bed lamp, bins in the bathroom, bathroom cupboard, small plates. Parking - doesn't make sense at al if it was a garage and the little rocks makes it difficult do navigate up and down the hill, I won't recommend it to senior citizens at all, also not for small children. The 2 days and 3 nights left a bad taste in my mouth, especially since we knew the next door unit had a parking space nxt to the house and was finished beautifully and was R50 cheaper per night, and the cleaning fee is also R50 less. The owner called about the water issue the next day, but it didn't make any difference, it was a day too late.
