Had a wonderful stay. Friendly and helpful hostess. Delicious breakfast at reasonable price was a bonus. Secure undercover parking - large and high enough for our large vehicle with roof top tent. Neat, spacious, stylish room with fresh pure white bedding made us feel at home. En suite bathroom with shower, toilet and sink, soap, shampoo and more. Even hair dryer! Essentials for coffee or tea, as well as a small fridge with a variety of items at reasonable prices. Plates, knives, forks, glasses came in handy as we arrived late and could just put together something to eat ourselves.
Theo is a very good host. The check in process was very easy. Accommodation exactly as per photos. Neat and clean.

We always use Game View Lodge as a stopover from the Kgalagadi back home in Gauteng. It's always clean, tidy, safe, with friendly service. I wouldn't want to stay anywhere else in the area. You will not lack for anything here.

The room and bathroom are nice and spacious. The air conditioner is quiet and effective. There are a lot of stairs to get to the room though. The fridge was full of drinks that you could pay for the next morning if you wanted to use them, but this made it difficult if you wanted to store your own things in the fridge. The lodge offers a delicious breakfast. Beautiful views of a farm from the restaurant.

After a long afternoon on the road it was nice to experience the tranquility of Game View Lodge and relax. We didn't see the rhino this time, but we did see other wildlife.

Game View Lodge is in Vryburg, on the outskirts against a game park, so it's wonderfully quiet and it's safe. The biggest asset is the hostess who quickly made room for our caravan in their safe parking area with no roof height problem. Not only that, the whole lodge speaks of a hostess who has her thumbs up. Decor and furnishings are exquisite and testify to good taste. Tersia and whoever supports her can certainly be proud of what they have there and we would definitely recommend Game View Lodge as a lovely overnight stop to anyone passing by. 10 out of 10, Tersia! Thanks also for the upgrade to a room with a balcony - we really enjoyed the passing wildlife. Game View Lodge offers breakfast but not dinner, so we ordered food from Steers at 7pm which wasn't delivered until 9pm, what a shame. We didn't want to drive into the "unsafe" town and park our car full of camera equipment somewhere to go out to eat. Luckily there was a microwave in the room and we were able to heat up our dinner.

Game View Lodge is a lovely destination and very peaceful. Would recommend that you only add 2 plates and knives and forks additionally where you can heat food in the microwave oven. Apart from that the place is great will stay there again in the future.

Can't believe we're only now discovering this beautiful place to sleep in Vryburg. The rooms were a relief after a long journey and we were particularly lucky to see the rhino, waterbuck, chamoisbuck, robin and duiker as a bonus. Even the animals look happy here!
Over the past couple of years, while road tripping, the choice of overnight stopover point between the north of the country and Cape Town has included Vryburg, simply because Game View Lodge is such a wonderful place to stay. I highly recommend it!

Very pleasant place to stay in a town that is falling into disrepair. Game View Lodge makes it possible to forget about streets full of potholes and unkempt public areas. Well maintained, clean rooms, friendly reception, bordering a game reserve, rhino and other goats made an appearance during the late afternoon and evening.

Just overnighted on way home. Owners were friendly and settled us in well. We did not use all the facilities offered. Lovely deck and pool area overlooking adjacent game reserve. There is a bar and dining room which can be used for delivered in meals. We would like to come back for a weekend break.

We could not have found a better place to stay. Staff are so friendly and accommodating, the lodge is spotless (clean), rooms spacious and comfy, sat around the indoor fireplace with drinks, the view was amazing with the wildlife coming past the fence, the breakfast was fantastic. We pulled into Vryburg just for an overnight stay and were very happy with our choice of accommodation. Game View Lodge is clean and very comfortable. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The highlight was the game right in front of our balconies and deck. What a privilege to see a rhino so close! We will definitely recommend the Lodge to anyone travelling that way, and should we find ourselves back in that area, be sure we will visit again!

Game View has very modern, spotless rooms with all the necessities you can think of. Owners upgraded us to a room with a view for free, and the service in general was great. A visit from the local rhino made our day and a delicious breakfast was served the next morning.

We spent one night at Game View Lodge on a road trip between Cape Town and the bush and really enjoyed our stay. The guesthouse is newly built with beautifully appointed guest rooms that were spotlessly clean. We took advantage of their braai area and their great service providing wood, cutlery, crockery, tongs, etc. The views and birds were wonderful.
We were hospitably received. Room and place are neat and clean. A delicious buffet breakfast was offered. The view from the balcony is beautiful. Would definitely recommend it.

Bed was hard. Other guests doof-doof "music?" played, the whole place full. My accommodation was upgraded, to what I expected according to the web page, to the view of which only five rooms have a view.
They already put a cot in the room for my little one and booked us into a better room without asking more because it has a bathroom to bathe my baby in. Very hospitable and made sure we were comfortable.

Tertia was a wonderful hostess. After a long and stressful day on the road, Game View Lodge was exactly what we needed. Room spacious, tidy and comfortable. The animals and white rhino were the highlight as we enjoyed a glass of wine with the sunset. Seeing that there are no dinner facilities, it would be welcomed if 2 small plates with knives and forks could perhaps be provided in the room.

We were told to be on the deck at 17:30 for a surprise and out of the blue walked in Champ the rhino for his evening snack. What an experience to be so close to such a magnificent animal! We had drinks at the bar and then a wonderful home made curry and rice dinner as the sun set. After a wonderful night's rest on the plush bed we enjoyed a wonderful breakfast. A truly memorable stay all around. I highly recommend Game View Lodge as the only place to stay when in Vryburg.

From the moment the gate opened, through reception to our room, everything was clean and tidy. We had some problems with the air conditioning, but Theo didn't give up, and the air conditioning worked until we walked out. Breakfast Saturday morning was delicious! We were surprised by the high quality of this accommodation. Everything was fantastic - the friendly reception and orientation, the quality of the decor and furniture. Very neat guesthouse with excellent facilities and friendly staff. To make guests' stay comfortable, snacks and drinks are provided in the rooms in a bar fridge with beer, cooldrink and snacks which you can purchase at extra cost. There are also local restaurants with delivery service advertised in the room if you don't want to eat at their in-house restaurant. I can really recommend this place.

The lodge overlooks a nature reserve and we were greeted in the morning by a beautiful rhino that grazed right here with us. The breakfast was 5-star quality. It's really a beautiful place, you can see everything is new and well looked after, there is detail in every little thing down to the cupboards and tea stations in your room. Breakfast was very nice and there is a nice variety to choose from, the owners and reception are very friendly and helpful, just be careful to start chatting with them because you chat so much you forget you have to drive. Beautiful luxurious rooms. Spotless. The breakfast is delicious. Please try the chicken liver. You will be pleasantly surprised. The staff are very friendly and helpful and go out of their way to make your stay as comfortable as possible. As I had to leave early for training on weekends, they specially packed me a delicious breakfast to take along. Watch the beautiful sunset from your balcony, listen to the peaceful bushveld sounds and watch out for the rhino that comes to say hello, literally 10m from the veranda. I would highly recommend Game View Lodge.

It is truly an oasis right next to a reserve. Very comfortable with beautiful views from the balcony. Very friendly staff, and incredibly beautiful.
It was just a pity that the hosts offered coupons instead of breakfast on the Sunday morning, not sure why. When we got out to use our coupons, all our personal belongings were stolen out of our vehicle ─ something that could have been avoided if we had breakfast at the guest house as advertised. Needless to say, we suffered a big loss and at the end of the day we never even got to using our coupons. Don't think I will ever sleep over in Vryburg again. It is too big a risk to stop anywhere and get out of the vehicle. What a terrible experience.
