House rules

The TV runs off a Chromecast device. Turn the TV on. If a scrambled screen is displayed, press "source" until pictures/photos appear. That is your casting channel. You can stream from your smart device. Unfortunately, no Netflix or DStv is available.

The bins will be emptied when you depart. Please let us know if you need it removed earlier.
Recycling (bottles, paper, glass, etc) items (rinsed if needed) can be placed in the bin labelled recycling to the right of the black gate near the kitchen sink window.

The Garden Cottage is strictly non-smoking accommodation except for outside guest areas.

We have 2 small Jack Russell dogs (Jack and Daisy - who are deaf) who live on the main premises. Whilst every attempt is made to keep our dogs in the front garden, separate from the back, where the garden cottage has access, the dogs can on occasion sneak through the main house and into the back area. We, therefore, insist that the front and back doors of the garden cottage are never to be left open simultaneously. Daisy is deaf and if she runs out through the garden cottage, she will make her way to the main gate and could escape. In the unlikely event of a dog getting out, please inform Mercy or Andrew immediately.

The sprinkler system runs off a borehole that is automatically turned on in the evening and early morning.

There is a washing machine available in the garden cottage. Guest to provide own laundry liquid and ask for help if unsure how to operate.
If ironing is required and/or you would like Mercy to do your laundry for you, this can be arranged at an additional cost.
