20 guests' feedbackThe managers went out of their way for us. I felt so bad at one point because we almost forgot everything and they helped without saying anything. The fireplace is lovely, and if you also book cleaning services, you don't even have to lift a finger to have a fireplace fire again the next night.
The hosts are super friendly and were always available. Great location and the rondawel had everything we needed for our stay.
What a wonderful experience, in our beautifully decorated cosy rondawel! We had a once-in-a-lifetime experience seeing a calf being born and listening to the wisdom of a seasoned farmer telling us all about Karkloof conservation! Our hostess, Bron, was very attentive and took care of our every need!
We had a great stay on Gartmore Farm! The cottage was very neat and modern. Had a lovely fireplace for the cold nights. Would definitely stay there again!
Well situated to explore the Karkloof region. Close to the best MTB trails and walks in the region. Fantastic value for money. Would not hesitate to book again when we are back in the area.

We were on our honeymoon and specifically chose the midlands hoping for snowy weather conditions but were greeted by the warm welcome of the Natal sun and its hospitable people. The owner came to welcome us specially and left a cute surprise in the rondavel to celebrate our honeymoon. The fireplace was perfect for the cold winter evenings and there was also an electric blanket in case the fire ran out of wood. We were pleasantly surprised by the heater in the bathroom which also ensured that our feet didn't get cold and also the appliances in the kitchen which were clean and all in working order. The owner gave us the directions to the letter before our visit because Google Maps and the GPS take you on wild dirt roads. One can easily reach the farm with a low-lying vehicle and the dirt road is very well maintained. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and would come back anytime!
Had a pleasant reception by Bronwyn. The accommodation was clean and everything you would need was there. The garden is well secluded and safe for your pet.
Had a great time and drove around the area. The farm stay is approximately 15 km outside of Howick. The rondavel was well furnished and tidy. The hospitality of the host, Bronwyn, was excellent. I felt safe.
Loved how secluded it is and how friendly the owners are, and got visits from their furry ones. What an awesome place! Fun place to cycle and take walks with your partner and family ️.

Hostess was very friendly and helpful. Lovely stay and had everything needed. Nice atmosphere among the trees, the surroundings are very, very beautiful. We found nice wood to make a fire. Convenient with WiFi.
Big advantage was they have a generator so I didn't even notice the load shedding.
Beautiful cottage in a beautiful garden and surroundings. Close to many attractions. Only 15 km from Howick and the Midlands Meander. The Karkloof is worth a visit on its own.
Had such a good time. The surroundings are so beautiful and the people on the farm are incredibly friendly and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble for them. They even came to help with a flat tire. The cottage was clean and tidy and very well equipped and the fireplace was cleaned every day and was ready for lighting in the evening. Thank you very much for such a nice visit!
