35 guests' feedbackIt was easy to check in and out. Shaun was kind enough to put a blanket on our windshield so we didn't have ice on the windshield when we left early the next morning!
It's easy to get to, neat place where you can relax after a long, stressful journey halfway between the Cape and Eastern Cape.
Gathering Guest House was perfect for an over night stop over. The unit was equipped with everything you need. Best thing about this unit was the private garden that our fur babies absolutely enjoyed after the long drive. Would definitely recommend staying here if you are traveling with pets.
Would definitely recommend it. Left with Chihuahua and even she was very calm. Thanks again to the owners for the permission. Appreciate.
Home away from home.
Although the place is very small, it was very clean and tidy.
I would only recommend it for someone who wants to spend 1 night and not for 2 people - it is very small. If you were to stay longer it would be a problem because there are no wardrobes or just a place to hang your clothes and if you are 2 people there is no place to put your bags anywhere - this is very, very small. We also wanted to have a barbecue one night - but there are no facilities.
Clean room as advertised. The room is pretty small - really great for one person or couple needing a place just for a night. They had their power switched off at 10:00, yes check-out is at 10:00, but really now. So you will have to make sure that you are an early bird if booking with them.
Very small but very neat. The rusk was very tasty, thank you. Everything was there that one needed.

Ideal for overnight stays, tidy and the owner is very pleasant.
Gathering Guest House was the perfect overnight stay for me, my wife and our puppy. Comfortable, clean, large, securely fenced and had everything we needed and more. Shaun received us kindly and I can confidently recommend the guest house.

Bloemfontein had been very wet, so step carefully in the corridor that gives access to the unit!
Very neat, safe accommodation. I'm always looking for pet-friendly accommodation when I travel to and from the Cape, and Gathering Guest House met all my requirements. Very neat and safe, with everything you need to make your stay comfortable. Thank you very much for your hospitality!
Ideally located, neat, clean and Shaun was an excellent host.
We had a great barbecue and there was an acre of private lawn for our woofie. The place was peaceful and we had a wonderful rest. Coffee, tea and milk were provided. We were able to safely park our heavily loaded trawler under the canopy.
Very pleasant and Shaun helped me pull my car and trailer under the canopy.
For those of you with 4-legged friends, this is ideal. There is a fenced area with small lawn, ideal for your dogs. Lovely outdoor seating area, with barbecue. I can recommend this place for sure, value for money.

We travel most of the time with our dog children. In Bloemfontein, pet-friendly accommodation is hard to find and when you do find it, it is not to your liking. The place is safe, own fenced garden, everything you need, clean, tidy. Hospitality from the owners absolutely fantastic. Shaun called us and said we could check in earlier as well, which I requested. I recommend them to any type of traveler. I will definitely use them every time I have to spend the night in Bloemfontein.
Absolute value for money! Lots of space and safety. Near shopping center. Friendly owners. Will definitely stay here again in the future.

There was a problem with the room we booked. The host gave the option of another room or other accommodation through the website. We chose the other, smaller room. Will definitely stay there again.
