Simply wonderful but too short.
Firstly, our stay was amazing. Warm, inviting with no frills. The host was very accommodating and provided all the needed information beforehand. The view is the clincher - we'll be back!

Loved the setting and view.
Beautiful view day and night, but the patio is not private from neighbours, which makes it awkward at times. The outside shower is also not private. Due to the shared patio and no curtains to close the front viewing windows and sliding door, one does not get the feeling of privacy. The glass pane in the front door also reduces privacy.
Gatvol has the most beautiful view of the entire bay. We enjoyed the few days so much to be able to sit on the stoep and look out. Walking distance to the beach and the most beautiful hiking trail. Recommendations: would be good if there could be a safe for valuables and firearm. Sliding doors close with difficulty. The parking is nice and close to the house, just a shame that it was used by other vehicles, and we had to park up the hill at other apartments.
Beautiful view and great location. The balcony is not private, so the best is not to venture too far out as you might share with your neighbours. It was well equipped but could do with a bit of attention here and there to make it more modern. Overall, a good experience.
Nice view of the bay.
Disappointing, will never go back. No TV, internet was off. Owner very friendly but did nothing to fix the issue. Unit very old and in serious need of repair. Not very clean, no privacy. Balcony shared, braai shared, shower shared, very low pressure cold water. Could not wait to leave. Without the view, bad choice.
Since the veranda with the sea view is shared with the apartment next door like the Ingelsman's 'in close proximity', one is obliged to just look at the sea instead and not say too much. Just remember that if you want to avoid this and instead sit behind the fire and stare, your neighbor (above) will decide for you when you are done roasting and that he will come and kill your fire when the smoke allegedly kills him bother too much

Everything was very nice, the only thing that might put some people off is the fact that the unit is quite old and could do with a facelift. It is neat and clean and I will definitely visit there again.

Good lighting and nice view. Place short upgrade. Sorry about braai pushed in the back. Netflix etc. almost not working, internet seems to be problem. Otherwise enjoyable.
Owner friendly. Sent a lot of information in advance and immediately came to help with Netflix when there was a problem.
Great views. Pity it was spoilt by an outdated unit. We were not advised that there were 30 steep steps to reach the unit. Only a low bath with no grab handles. Both are dangerous for older persons. No assistance with cases etc. and no cleaning service.
Details provided were extremely valuable and it is definitely a value for money destination.
Jan the owner was very friendly on the phone, and so helpful, even though we didn't even meet. My 9 year old daughter and I had more than enough room for all our colors. There are more than enough facilities to have a nice stay and visit. (Perhaps just 1 request, a foldable clothes/towel rack that can be placed on the porch or just inside would help a lot).
Looking forward to coming back again soon.
Very neat place. All that was needed, apart from an extra blanket or 2 for the cold evenings, was there. Would have enjoyed it even more if you could have a barbecue in front of the deck overlooking the sea. An umbrella or a canopy by the deck would also be a good asset for when it rains or the sun is very hot. Not very pleasant to barbecue in the back of the courtyard where other people's doors are and where you can't look out at the sea. That's the only negative thing I have to say. The rest of the place was adequate for me and my husband.

Parking only very limited for an SUV vehicle. Lots of stairs to apartment. Except for the load shedding, the hot water was limited.

The unit was neat and clean. The stay was wonderful. Thank you.
The geyser was not turned on. One has to braai in front of other people's door. The power plugs at kettle, toaster, microwave did not work. We picked up the plug but it tripped again. We had to cook the kettle in room and use microwave by TV. There is not a roof left in front of the stoepie. The room's floor tiles are very cracked and broken.

This is the place if you want to appreciate the sea. Private and has a beautiful beach. The natural beauty is exceptional and definitely worth visiting. The view is breathtaking!
