Great place to stay except for the odour from the shower in the main bedroom.
It was lovely and clean. There were a few items missing which could have made us more comfortable, for example, a soap dish in the second bathroom and a corkscrew in the kitchen. There were a few crockery items that were chipped, but other than that, we really enjoyed our stay.
Will definitely book again. No problem with power failure. Great fire made for the cold.
We stayed at Gayle's place for two nights. The accommodations were comfortable and good value for money. The beds were very comfortable. The lounge and braai area are wonderful spaces to relax and spend time with friends. I would stay at Gayle's place again when I visit Clarens again.
The house is very tastefully furnished, very neat. We had a wonderful stay and were able to have a great barbecue. Will definitely use it again.

Well located, easily accessible and safe. We really enjoyed the period here. Gayle's Place is well equipped and there are lights even during loadshedding, which helps a lot especially with small children.
I note that a few guest have complained about the sewage smell at the property. It was the same for us, in particular the main bedroom smelled like sewage for the duration of our stay. Unbearable and terrible. Best avoid this property for that reason.
Nice golf estate. Accommodation was pleasant, but there was a persistent bad smell on the outside of the property. There were no complimentary soaps, tea/coffee etc. that one would normally expect at this price point.

The accommodation was fully equipped, comfortable, neat, clean and beautifully furnished and decorated. Our children loved their space and we were very impressed by the lovely finishes and clever use of the space. The location was easily accessible and convenient, the gate house friendly and helpful and the accommodation manager was on call for anything that we needed.

It was our first time on the Clarens Golf Estate and it worked out really well for us! Everything was very nice and tidy in place, the witch system worked like a dream, lovely paths in the estate to go for a walk or run and it is still very close to Clarens town and all its shops and restaurants!
