Our host was welcoming and very friendly. The place was neat, the linen very clean, and the beds comfortable. The breakfast was very nice, but the water was cold.
Our stay at the accommodation was fine. It just needs to have facilities for guests who are not 100% stable on their feet. There should be no stairs and flat showers for guests who are not 100% mobile. The units do need some urgent maintenance.
No, for some reason someone decided to use a tumble dryer just after four in the morning that feels like it's essentially rattling. The bed's headboard is also loose, so every turn on the bed makes it slam against the wall. The blind above the door must sit in the frame so that it can block out the light from outside.
The room was spacious, clean and comfortable and perfect for a short stay.
Lady and owner at the reception didn't have problem when I ask to change room as it was by the gate. I didn't want to hear car noise.
The lady did inform us and apologized that our room was not 100% up to standard and was undergoing repairs. She felt so bad but with all due respect said it was minimal what she was talking about and still the room was beautiful and we were able to have a great rest, hot shower and be safe while we were there for our son's rugby tour and helped us up very short notice.

I like to stay at Gecko's every year. We held our convention at Volksrust High School as Jehova Witness. I would like to stay there again next year because it's clean. Their room is neat and the breakfast nice. We enjoyed our stay. I want say thank you to all the staff of Gecko's Guesthouse.
Friendly staff and the room was clean and neat. It was safe and beautiful. Heater and electric blanket are found in the room because they know Volksrust is a very cold place to be when the winter has started. Please install all the DStv channels that accommodate all your guests - music and gospel channels.

We had a great stay and the breakfast was delicious! However, the bathroom door could not close. Other residents were not considerate about parking.

This is a 5 star guesthouse, I really enjoy my stay on 5-7 October 2018 we had Jehovah's witnesses convention in Volkrust so I lodge at Gecko. The place was clean, neat,welcoming and hospitable. My room was cleaned everyday by the friendly staff and the breakfast was divine . What impressed me most was the fact that they worked as a team, even the owner and security was tight. Wow, I would recommend Gecko guesthouse to anyone since I would go back every year.
