We were at Gelukkie on the weekend of 06 April. Andrew, our host, was very friendly and helpful. The apartment was comfortable, clean and stunning. I will definitely go back to Gelukkie. Value for your money.
From the moment of arrival the host was really warm. The welcome made us feel like we are home. The accommodation was spacious, brilliantly well-proportioned and relaxing.
I can honestly say it is the most beautiful place! Stunning over!
It's beautifully rustic. No TV to distract. Time out to chill. And the sweetest little cat, Rosie, who pops in every afternoon.
The gardens were very well kept and gravel was thrown everywhere. The only problem was that every time the owner or guests staying next to us walked past our unit on the gravel path, it made a noise and it made our dogs bark. I personally think that "Another Luck" is the better option for the pet friendly unit, as the unit is at the back of the farm to one side and there is no walk through. It was my husband's 65th birthday and we didn't have a barbecue that night, but we did drive quickly to town to buy food. We sat delightfully in our little garden and enjoyed the evening. We can definitely recommend the accommodation as luxury accommodation and we would very much like to go there again.
If you want to enjoy a break away from the busy city life, then this is the right place to do it.
My husband and I had an amazing time. Andrew and Ruth are excellent hosts with a lovely sense of humour. The cottage was everything we expected and more with ample cupboard space, lovely personal touches, outside braai and seating area, lovely garden and plant life with the sound of the birds in the morning. We will definitely be back. We chose Los Gelukkie in particular for the bath which is such a great addition to the cottage. Andrew and Ruth suggested we book Nog 'n Gelukkie when we come again, which we will certainly do!

This is the most beautiful place. It would be nice if there was cold water in the fridge and milk to make coffee with. The host is not very friendly, he thought we came in with 5 boys when we just went to put our bags down with the kids we were looking after. They booked a house on the sea, while their parents were at a wedding. He also didn't want us to check in just half an hour earlier, which would have helped us a lot to get dressed quickly before we had to report to the parents of the children after our routine.

Beautiful decor and luxurious in a rustic type of setting. Only 1.7 km from Paternoster main street. Close to Brewery & Coffee/Breakfast spot. Feels like you're on a fam. Would book this again.
Upon arrival, the place looks like a typical plot and one involuntarily looks around for broken cars and chickens running around. Inside, however, a very big surprise awaits. These are the largest residential units I have ever stayed in and the decor is unique and incredibly neat. The owner is very friendly and helpful. Nothing is missing except a TV.
The owner asked if we could exchange the room with guests already there so they don't need to clean the room we booked and move the other guests - we didn't get the room we booked . It was very disappointing. No hair dryer. No place in the bathroom to put down a bath bag. Bed's mattress feels like a board. No extra blankets. Suitcases must be on the floor - there is a hanging cupboard but a bench by the bed for suitcases would have been good. I was so looking forward to staying here, but it was disappointing to have to exchange our reserved room. There are working electric blankets and a nice fireplace in the unit. There was working WIFI. Shower water was hot enough. Linen on the bed was clean and fresh. Unit was nice and clean.
We enjoyed staying at Gelukkie so much. Friendly owners, the dog, Bob, is just love. This really is a hidden gem, Congratulations! Thank you for the hospitality.
Heaven on earth! A hidden gem with the most beautiful, beautiful detail! We couldn't get enough of all the decor surprises around every corner! A weekend had been hopelessly too little! We will definitely come again!!

We had a very good weekend and the facilities and atmosphere was amazing. Loved Gelukkie and will surely recommend it.
Another lucky break was great. Very peaceful and we really appreciated and enjoyed its privacy. There is a lovely large veranda from where we could watch the birds and a very nice hans cat (who needs to be fed) came to make friends with us. The service was excellent and we will definitely go there again! Just one negative note: the bed is lumpy in the middle - probably because the 2 bases used.
Lovely breakaway from the busy city. Beautiful area. Everything is so beautifully furnished with everything needed and more. Tranquil atmosphere where you feel home immediately and your soul can breathe. Definitely a place that should be visited again.

What a lovely place is Gelukkie! Cindy was very hospitable. Very secure, neat, clean and romantic. Klein Gelukkie is perfectly situated so that the wind doesn't even bother you when you braai. We felt secluded from the outside world — not bothered by anything or anyone. And so close to everything. This place will definitely see me again.

The unit is very spacious and beautifully decorated. We enjoyed the private braai area as well as the swing bed. The kitchen/living area has no windows that can open, which was much needed with the heat wave. There are not enough power points. The mirror at the sink is too low. Air conditioning would be an asset.
The staff at Gelukkie were very friendly and welcoming. I will definitely visit Gelukkie again! We visited Gelukkie in the winter, the nice fireplace and kettle on the stove were ideal for winter evenings. It's fairy-tale beautiful with a comfortable sitting area on the veranda overlooking the garden, where we spent the afternoons. Paternoster itself is a pretty town.
Incredible weekend in an incredible setting. The cottage is lovely and very tastefully furnished. Something different from the normal and out of the box. Will go back again tomorrow at that price. Bad weather makes it even more attractive.
