We had a great stay at Gemstone. The staff were friendly and the place has a borehole that supplies water, something that is very important in Klerksdorp. Our place was clean and there were water bottles in the fridge and shampoo and body wash in the bathroom.

Only had a problem with gas not being available for the gas stove. We had no plans to use the stove but other customers may have the need. We enjoyed the braai area and were cozy with the children.
The room is set to one side with privacy and was incredibly nice to stay in Gemstone, they pass load shedding times and have a generator that runs in the mornings for guests to finish their business. We slept great and there were more than enough towels etc. in the room for us to use. Beds are comfortable and we slept very well.
The unit was quite acceptable, but the fridge did not work. It was reported and they were supposed to sort it out the next day, but never happened. There were too few glasses and mugs in the unit for the number of people who could stay there and there was no toilet paper in the bathroom on the first day.

We stayed in the apartment. There are 2 large rooms, a large kitchen, a luxurious bathroom and an extra separate toilet. Really value for money. Staff also very friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay here again!

Has everything that you need. I stayed in the Ruby room. You park right outside your room, which is always nice when you have lots of luggage. It would have been much nicer if breakfast was served. I asked if there might be a hair dryer, couldn't help me with that. Think on arrival WiFi information must be communicated. Because it is winter, a bed mat or loose carpet in the room would have helped against the cold tiled floor. I'm not giving malicious criticism, just trying to look from a guest's point of view. I think a security gate at the sliding door would have made me feel more at ease - especially as I was traveling alone.
The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the facilities were of high quality. Covered (shade net) parking, together with air conditioning and secure parking facilities will not make me hesitate to use this guest house's facilities again in the future.
