62 guests' feedbackWe received good service from the start. The rooms were equipped with everything we could need during our stay. Everything was clean and tidy. Gene went out of her way to get a room ready for us as we wanted to move in earlier to get ready for a function. She also accommodated our trailer and made sure it was parked safely. The guest house's manager was very friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay there again!
We would recommend Genie's Nest. We had to drop off our stuff earlier with a wedding we had nearby and the host didn't have a problem with that. They were still cleaning our place. We can't fault the place at all. I might just want to bring to your attention that one can see right through the white curtains when the light is on or off in the evening. We changed in the bathroom. Toilet seat was loose, maybe just tightened. There was also a group of young visitors sitting and hanging out right by the pool, which we could hear until late. Our room was by the pool. Not owner's fault, but maybe look at the time to allow a certain time if you want to visit the pool. When they went to sleep everything was peaceful. Thank you for allowing us to sleep there and feel safe.

Awesome. They can definitely improve on providing more towels for longer stays, and also tea, milk, and sugar for the duration of the stay. We stayed for 5 days and didn't have any room service.
There is no aircon in the rooms and it is extremely hot in summer.
Had a great stay, the unit is clean and well equipped with everything you need. Lovely clean swimming pool with well equipped outdoor braai area. Only point that could be improved is that the fridge was not switched on before our arrival, so we could not immediately keep our perishable food cold.

We were looking for overnight accommodation for a function we attended in Pretoria. Genie's Nest met all our requirements and quite at a very good price. Although we did not spend much time at the accommodation, the time there was very comfortable. The rooms are very tastefully equipped with everything you could want. Very clean and tidy. Rooms 2, 3, 4 overlook the pool where no. 1 is a little "off" on the side, but overall, very, very nice.
It was enjoyable with friends in Genie's Nest, was very beautiful as it was my home.

Very good accommodation located in the North of Pretoria. Swimming pool offers a great summertime experience & covered parking is an added luxury.
We were pleasantly surprised with our stay at Genies Nest, especially given the affordability of the accommodation. I would suggest that they update their contact details on Google as we had the wrong number and had trouble getting hold of them. Parking was a challenge as we traveled with a pram (if accommodation is fully booked there won't be enough parking). Top accommodation and service, nonetheless!
Very tidy, large rooms and comfortable, safe, good location with cutlery, fridge, microwave and double bed. Only downside is no internet during "load shedding", so additional arrangements had to be made to be able to work in another location during the 2 hours. Internet quality is also quite poor and better equipment and a stronger/better Wi-Fi signal would have been ideal.
Sink does not have a plug. Power point for charging phone is not on standard. Stairs to bathroom are dangerous and not marked. Sliding door does not close properly.

Parking was a bit difficult, but the rest was very good and pocket-sized for overnight.
The braai facilities are very poor, braais are rusted through, no braai tongs, no bowls to marinate meat. Room very hot, only a fan on the floor, due to no security door, the door cannot be left open during loadshedding. Towels were never changed. Sink in kitchen is very small. No poison for ants. Had to ask for toilet paper. No, who wouldn't go home there again.
The position was well located for the purpose of our trip. The unit was fair. The generator for load shedding was in poor condition (smoky badly and black soot blown over the vehicles). It also could not meet the building's needs and shut down after 55 min in 4 hours of load shedding. The parking was unfortunately very limited and only suitable for small vehicles. Fortuners, double cab vans are going to have problems.
There were no hangers to hang my clothes. At least I they should have informed me so that I can bring mine.

So much value in a tiny bottle. Compact, with everything you need and more. Firm bed, and spotless linen. All the little things you get in a luxury hotel room. At least there was double ply toiletpaper. Loved the coffee mugs that change colour with heat. Only complaint was the wifi was a bit unstable, no coat hangers and the busy street.

We were late. We let the hostess know, she arranged for us to open up, the place was clean, tidy, coffee, tea, powdered milk in the kettle meant a lot to us. A clean, hot shower. Good bed and a good night's rest. In the morning, ehk asked for help with his car and in no time our guest wife sent someone. Thank you very much for the extra, we were truly blessed with the extra mile. Genie's Nest I would recommend to any visitor, there is style here.
It was a lovely apartment to stay in.
This place is definitely recommended. Everything inside was luxurious and it's definitely a place for any person or man and woman to spend the night or to stay there for the week. If I ever come to Pretoria again I will definitely visit this place again. Very centrally located and from there I could easily get on the N4 (or N1) highway on the way home.
Nice rooms and a good meeting area. Never been without power and was always helped if there were any questions, etc. wash. They even washed our clothes and made sure the facilities were clean and tidy every day.

The room was very well appointed, with little extra details such as color changing cups with Genie's Nest's emblem on them. The bedding is slightly lower quality than standard hotel linen, but it was white and clean and warm enough for a cold winter's night. The parking is restrictively small and less suitable for large vehicles. Overall a comfortable stay.
The guest house is tidy and safe. It's easy walking distance to shops and shopping centre.
Although parking was a bit of a struggle, we loved staying at Genie's Nest 3. The lock latch on the unit door does not work properly. Other than that we enjoyed our stay.
Parking is a problem and there is a power line in pool which is open on arrival unit was not ready yet, toilet seat was loose and when it rains it is wet at room closet.
The person who received us might have put her cell phone aside when she received us. The kitchen, bathroom and sleeping facilities are very good. We also enjoyed having lunch outside by the pool. Good value for money.

No hangers in the closets. WiFi just doesn't work at all. Also very nice.
The cupboards do not have clothes hangers, no bench/table on which you can put your suitcase/clothes bag, no dustbin in kitchen. The receptionist's poor communication and very long struggle to get the room key and open doors, while we have to stand and wait, almost made us drive again to look for another place to stay. There is no name of the residence from the street or from the front of the house.
