19 guests' feedbackA very neat and well equipped home. The hospitality of the host along with the complimentary home baked bread and pate was very pleasant. I would love to go back again anytime for a getaway at Giants Cup Wilderness Reserve.
It was great being so close to the Giants Cup Trail. Lovely walks. Very nice walk around the dam too.
It was definitely worth it. The "cottage" is very well laid out with a nice view of the pond and mountain. We continuously saw wildlife, as well as birds. The "cottage" is very well equipped with a nice fireplace. Truly a very nice rest and walk on the farm.
Beautiful scenery in a breathtaking setting. The unit is well furnished and very tidy. Unfortunately we could only stay one night. Would definitely recommend.
This stay was fantastic. The environment beautiful and peaceful. Everything clean and tidy, and we were even spoiled with a home-baked bun.
A beautiful location complemented by a well thought-out, classy yet homely self-catering unit made for a truly memorable experience. Attention to detail and a feeling of complete isolation made us feel like we had exclusive use of this stunning location.
Beautiful little piece of heaven. However, we did not experience the wonderful hospitality we had read so much about. After being shown to our cottage, we did not even receive a text. All in all, though, we had an awesome weekend.
Giants Cup Wilderness Reserve is a Shangri La! Wolf was a great host and delighted us with his knowledge of photography. It was such a treat. Thank you to all the Avni family for a fantastic weekend! We will definitely come back soon.
Natasha upgraded us to Duckbay Lodge. Beautiful, tasteful, luxurious accommodation with breathtaking scenery around us.
The home-baked bread and trout pate were a lovely surprise!
The pictures does not do it justice! The reserve is absolutely gorgeous and the accommodations fits perfectly into that! The calmness and beauty of the place is absolutely incredible! The service was amazing as well and we had no problems what so ever!
Giants Cup Wilderness Reserve is a truly magnificent place to stay. The accommodation is super comfortable and has all that you need for a getaway filled with fly fishing, day hiking, reading and spending time around a fireplace.
If you want peace and quiet - very quiet this is the place for you. It was 3 magical days and I will definitely go back. If you come from the city I can really recommend this option.
Thank you so much for a wonderful stay! The cottage is straight out of a fairytale. Beautifully finished and completely surrounded by a forest with a view of a lake. Short drive from Underburg and all of its attractions.
Lovely accommodation set in beautiful and tranquil surroundings.
The setting is fantastic, the cottage is superb, the service and help were great. Can only recommend it!
A beautiful, isolated setting away from the madding crowd. The wind blowing through the pine trees at night was the perfect way to fall asleep. Amazing views of the lake which settles in a beautiful valley surrounded by mountains. You can hear the sounds of all sorts of wildlife at night in the stillness. It’s also really close to the Underberg town centre so you can stock up on supplies. Very friendly and informative staff and hosts who are always nearby if you need help. Our wood was restocked and cottage cleaned daily. We also received complimentary bread fresh from the oven, plus trout pate from the hatchery.
If you are looking for tranquility, this is the place!
All basic necessities are there. The packed hearth and the lots of wood were special! Lovely surroundings with lots of birdlife.
