The 3 glamping sites at Glen Eden Ranch, all have handmade gypsy wagons, a tepee tent plus a private bathroom and a small kitchen. The kitchen has a fridge-freezer, gas hob, kettle and all crockery, cutlery and utensils. There is a braai, fire pit and wood-fired hot tub outside.
The fourth glamping site is situated at Little Eden, this is a new concept with micro-bedrooms, giving guests the luxury of a bedroom in nature. The site has a small kitchen, the up-market ablution is shared but has everything you need, no site is more than 80 meters away.
There are a number of walks around the farm, a dam with black bass and tilapia for fishing, a touch farm with lots of animals; donkeys, alpacas, goats, rabbits, turkeys, chickens, geese and ducks, which guests are welcome to walk around at any time. There is also have a large swimming pool with day beds and sun loungers, a jungle gym for the children and even a tractor to play on. There is also horse riding on-site, which must be arranged.

The cottage was not very spacious, but it had a comfortable bed and cosy space. The hot tub takes about 3 hours to warm up. We were relocated to the Protea Glamping site, and it's the most secluded, so no complaints there. We fed animals and did archery. Yummy pizza and milkshakes at the pool. The host was very welcoming. Wi-Fi is available, the stars were beautiful and bright without any light pollution. Cows come to graze right at the site. Very calming environment. We are in nature, so a visit from a little field mouse didn't bother us too much. The water did have a short burst of hot water before cutting out, but there is signage explaining how to use the water. Loved the experience.
We were four adults and two young children and even a golden retriever! We really enjoyed the location. The house itself had a pool and hot tub which we really enjoyed. The house is neat and well furnished. The activities on the farm were also great fun for the whole family - walks, swimming, eating pizza, and of course looking at all the different farm animals!
The location is perfect, with a nice view of the mountains. The swimming area is also very nice and tidy. We especially enjoyed the animals, we fed the goats and the donkeys.

The cottage we stayed at had everything we required. Clean and comfortable. Beautiful views. Definitely a destination I'll return to. The only suggestion I have is to take bug spray with. The location is on a farm so be prepared.

The weather was absolutely tragic, but we still really enjoyed our Honeybee cottage! The cozy wood stove kept us cuddly company and the inclement weather outside couldn't even bother us! The facilities were absolutely of a very good standard and we enjoyed our time there. Montagu itself is a beautiful place to visit, saw lots of flowers in the surrounding areas and a postcard view from our accommodation was the icing on the cake!

An amazing place for a break! The photos do not do the place justice at all. There is a hot tub and a swimming pool, free to walk where you like and you can feed the animals should you want to. Highly recommended!

We broke away with our 2 dogs for a quiet weekend. The cottages all have a fence, so the dogs can't run away anywhere. The pool in the Montagu heat is an absolute treat and we were pleasantly surprised to see we have a hot water option too which was not in the pictures as it is a new addition. Everything one needs is there, and Carol and the British owner are a feast.

Glen Eden's Glamping was very comfortable and good value for money. The hot tub is lovely, and everything was very clean and tidy. The tent is not sealed, so with rain it may be a problem. Beds are proper, firm and good quality bedding. It is a beautiful farm, very peaceful. Otherwise it was really a very nice camping weekend.
The biggest problem was the roads that were washed away and the gates that were damaged due to the floods. But there is nothing Glen Eden's people can do about it. The accommodation is a bit close to the road, so you can hear all the trucks and cars driving by.
Carol's help and advice with everything very good! Was in July's cold and rainy at Glen Eden, would recommend summer months to make better use of place and enjoy more.
The farm and pods are fantastic - very comfortable and well equipped. Our only complaint was that our barbecue was not cleaned. I would also suggest when guests stay longer than 2 nights that the towels and bathroom/kitchen are cleaned. (Cleaning services are extra). The hot tub is definitely a winner. We will go back again.

Very neat and beautiful, each place has its own "hot tub". People are very fair with everything. There is a small fault with our unit - contacted people and said what was wrong and sorted it out within 30min. On Christmas Day it is now service that I did not expect - thank you, we will definitely see you again.
My friends and I chose this place based on how it looked, but it was even better in person. Everything from the awesome fire-powered jacuzzi to the beautiful night skies were more than we asked for. The employees were such amazing people to talk to and everyone was so friendly, made us city folk feel very welcome. The whole area itself was so beautiful and we thoroughly enjoyed the animal farm. If you are planning on going away with friends and just want to relax in the quiet of Montagu. I highly recommend this place. I already want to go back.
What an incredible place! Everything is unique and perfect! We lacked nothing. Everyone is very helpful and goes out of their way to accommodate you. The children really enjoyed the archery. The pool area is beautiful and the farm is quiet and very safe. We will definitely go again!
We were a family celebrating a 15th birthday - the boys frolicked, played outside and had a great time walking around and exploring. My little one loved the animals and helped feed them and knew everyone's names. The turkey, the peacock and the Billy Goat, Sam, were almost back home with us in the combi! Was a lovely, relaxing experience. Will definitely go again and definitely value for money.
Within 2 hours away from CPT, you will find this hidden gem offering glamping, tent sites and chalet accommodation. Opted to stay in the Protea Pod. A unique, handmade wagon as a bedroom. Private woodfired hot pod to unwind and relax in surrounded by the beauty of nature with the sounds of chirping birds. The farm has a communal swimming pool for the hot days and is even equipped with a park to keep the kids busy. Thank you, Carol and the crew, for your friendly welcome and service and for making sure we had enough wood for the weekend. Definitely coming back in the summertime.

There is a "wood fired hot tub" which was unexpected and it was a nice surprise, the starry sky is beautiful and we had a great time hanging out under the stars. Carol was very nice and friendly and it's close enough to town if you forgot something.

The accommodation was comfortable, well equipped and very tidy. The communication before the stay was good. I knew exactly what to do and where to go. The house was neat and comfortable. The hot tub was lovely. We had a nice walk on the farm and were able to feed the animals. The host was very friendly and I was able to communicate with her via WhatsApp. I would definitely stay here again!
Glen Eden Farm Guest Cottages is probably another of the best places I could get away to for a long weekend. Very romantic and intimate, and it is very peaceful in the mountains among nature. I would definitely recommend this vacation spot. Carol kept us informed the whole time and was incredibly helpful with all our queries - great service.

The place is very unique, units are far apart and private. Als was nice and clean and the owner was very friendly.
We enjoyed every minute. From arriving and being greeted by Claudette, she explained all we need to know in a few minutes. We then were able to enjoy all the well-laid-out amenities available. The "HotPot" standing outside was very enjoyable especially after it got cold outside as the sun went down. We had a lovely evening enjoying the warm water in the moonlight and starlit sky with absolute silence in the background! We will certainly return!

Glen Eden Farm is an absolute gem. We loved every bit of our stay. The accommodation is clean and well equipped. The staff has great customer service and take so much pride in their job. The landscapes are breathtaking. The activities on site is great especially with young kids. They thoroughly enjoyed themselves and so did I. The hot tub was my absolute favourite after a day of activities I was able to just unwind. We will definitely be back and I've already recommended to my friends.

My husband, my son and grandson and I went glamping together. Claudette is very hospitable, and she and Andy really put a lot of effort into ensuring a nice holiday for their guests. There is everything needed for comfort. The 'Dutch Tub' is an added bonus and the pool is comfortable with sun loungers and umbrellas. We will definitely want to rest there again. The pools were a surprise.
The cottages are in a great location and well appointed for a self-catering holiday. The owners are very helpful without being intrusive, and respond well to any needs that may arise. Lots of farm activities for the kids, and the bonus is that the cottages have their own splash pool, and an enclosed garden which is great if you are taking your doggo with. Braai facilities are more than adequate with wood available to purchase at a very good price. Overall a very pleasant stay, and we definitely recommend Glen Eden.

The Blue Crane house is absolutely fantastic! If your own private pool is too cold, just order a hot tub delivered right to you. My little boy ran around and fed all the animals, it's so safe there. My dogs chatted all day with the donkeys, chickens, alpacas and more. The owners are so helpful and friendly, just send a message and they sort you out in minutes. We will go back again and again, it was absolutely fantastic!

We stayed in the ranch part where you rent a glamping site for the weekend. It is so private and peaceful. Everything is clean and the linen smells amazing. The wood-fired hot tub was fantastic and you can feel the stress leaving your body. Wood is available at an extra cost, so you don't have to worry about taking it with you. The kitchenette and bathroom has all the amenities that you could want. My husband and I are not fans of camping, but this experience was great! No worries of having to set up camp, as everything is already done for you! Claudette and her team goes out of their way to ensure you are comfortable, but at the same time respect your privacy. We will definitely be back soon! Thank you so much - we created wonderful memories that will last us a lifetime!
It was the best way to spend our anniversary. The farm with all the animals was just charming. The gypsy wagon was so beautiful and magical and we loved the privacy. Plus point: lying in a hot tub while looking at the stars was just the cherry on the cake.

First time in years that we were able to see stars at night and hear the birds & crickets. The pool was a welcome bonus on those sweltering days. Andy & Claudette were amazing hosts and made our stay even more memorable.
It was great to stay on the farm for a weekend. The cottage is well appointed and comfortable, and with the fence it was ideal for our dogs. We went for a lovely walk and then cooled off in the pool. At night the stars were very bright.
In the Covid era with all its restrictions, it was a very nice break with the comfort of your own splash pool. House on the Hill - on top of the hill, far away from everyone.
We stayed in the Protea Pod unit (glamping) and were very surprised that the place is even more beautiful than the photos. The handmade gypsy wagon is beautiful and super comfortable, with the nicest bedding. The kitchen and bathroom are nice and tidy and well equipped - the only suggestion we would make here is a small trash can for the bathroom. The teepee is also nicely furnished with nice bedding. The highlights for us were the donkey boiler powered pool, the fire pit, sitting area, privacy and the wagon. Beautiful! Birds also hopped and flew around us with ease. It's definitely a must-see near Montagu. Two nights were definitely too short!
The animals are an attraction.
Sunbird cottage has a lovely view from all windows; dream porch, barbecue area, swimming pool for the summer and stove for the winter. Two queen size beds suitable for whoever sleeps there. Actually best stay just for four.

Glen Eden is good value for money destination.
Very quiet and private with a real farm atmosphere. It was just what we were looking for. There is a variety of birds. We could also feed the farm animals. The owner knows every animal and could talk about them very entertainingly. The animals are very well cared for and are not just there as a tourist attraction. The house has all the basic amenities, but is not luxurious. The teenagers were very pleased with the 'splash pool' and the free wi-fi! We will go there again.
Lovely walk with dogs, nice that they can go together and are safe there. Would say that cooler months would be nicer, was just too hot so made it difficult for nice walks and going out. But it's nice and close to everything, wonderfully peaceful, fantastic WiFi and owners always available, friendly and accommodating.
We had the Fish Eagle unit, which was very lovely for the two of us. The unit was neat and located in such a way for enough privacy. The owners were helpful if needed. The view is so beautiful and the surroundings are quiet and peaceful. Would recommend if you want to get away from the busy city life.

What a stunning place. We were there as a family of 8 with 4 little ones aged between 1 and 2. Between feeding the farm animals and all the safely enclosed running around they loved it. The accommodation was perfect and lovely friendly hosts.
Our family really enjoyed our stay and our two dogs were also welcome. There is a petting zoo on the farm for the little ones. Beautiful landscape all around you. Very private. The owners are very friendly and helpful. It was very cold at night, but the luxurious blankets, stove in the kitchen and the heater kept us perfectly warm. It was slightly tricky having to share one bathroom between 8 guests, but all and all we enjoyed our stay and the cottage. Very lovely, we will definitely book again.
We enjoyed our time very much. The peace and quiet was so good for the soul. The bed and bedding made you feel like you were sleeping in a 5-star hotel. Our one-year-old son really enjoyed it and was able to move around nicely. I would definitely want to go again.
From the beginning, all the arrangements were smooth. Claudette was quick to provide friendly feedback and help with arrangements to go horseback riding. We were also very happy to be able to take our dog with us. When we go again we will definitely want to stay longer than one night.

The farm is outside of Montagu, so there is little traffic and lots of silence. In the evenings if the lights are switched off and the fire is out, you see more stars than you could ever have thought existed.

This is a very nice and quiet place that I enjoyed a lot. The location on Google Maps is not very accurate but received guidance from the owner although it was difficult to find the place in the dark as it was late at night. The board in front of the entrance is not very visible and worse at night, but regardless I had a very nice stay. Thank you.
The accommodation in the Fish Eagle cottage was not on a standard that we needed and it was quite a way away from the rest of the cottages so we were on our own, no disturbances. Claudette was so friendly, we will definitely book this place again in the near future.

The cottage was well-appointed, lovely fresh linen and the fact that every cottage has its own swimming pool is fantastic. Lovely lush green grass served as the perfect picnic spot in front of our cottage. There are tame lambs that are very affectionate and hungry and will easily eat out of your hand.

All cottages or houses have smart TV's with Netflix access and all but one have indoor fireplaces. All kitchens are equipped with electric ovens, 4-plate gas hobs, microwaves, fridge-freezer, toasters and kettles, crockery, cutlery and utensils. All cottages have private enclosed gardens with braai facilities, outdoor furniture and splash pools.
The 3 glamping sites at Glen Eden Ranch, all have handmade gypsy wagons, a tepee tent plus a private bathroom and a small kitchen. The kitchen has a fridge-freezer, gas hob, kettle and all crockery, cutlery and utensils. There is a braai, fire pit and wood-fired hot tub outside.
The fourth glamping site is situated at Little Eden, this is a new concept with micro-bedrooms, giving guests the luxury of a bedroom in nature. The site has a small kitchen, the up-market ablution is shared but has everything you need, no site is more than 80 meters away.
There are a number of walks around the farm, a dam with black bass and tilapia for fishing, a touch farm with lots of animals; donkeys, alpacas, goats, rabbits, turkeys, chickens, geese and ducks, which guests are welcome to walk around at any time. There is also have a large swimming pool with day beds and sun loungers, a jungle gym for the children and even a tractor to play on. There is also horse riding on-site, which must be arranged.
Glen Eden's cottages are all pet friendly, the gardens are all fully enclosed. Unfortunately, none of the glamping sites allows pets.
