I will definitely stay there again - lovely setting and friendly hosts. Just some tips for other business travellers: Wi-fi was not great, and limited use allowed - better to have your own connectivity. The generator for loadshedding did not do anything other than one weak light that stayed on, so go prepared with your backup battery pack and portable light.

Friendly reception, clean and tidy room, comfortable bed with enough pillows, very large and appropriate bathroom, all in all a good night's rest.
In driving at the gate and before I turned the car off the landlady was there to show us where our accommodation was. Always made sure that everything was in order. Made sure standby power is correct during load shedding. Accommodation clean and tidy. Definitely excellent service that I would recommend.

I come from Pretoria, and we were quickly helped. Didn't wait even 2 minutes from arrival to check in, the host was friendly and the room was more than adequately furnished. I booked the top room and got more than I expected!
Wonderful place and very safe despite being just a block from the main road. The owners were incredibly friendly and kind. I especially enjoyed the feathered friends which was the highlight of my trip!

We stayed at Goedehoop Guesthouse in Zeerust on our way to Madikwe. We found all the staff and owners super friendly and accommodating. We were able to get a good hearty dinner and a lovely farm breakfast the next day, no problem at all. Very reasonable pricing and good facilities. Two beautiful doggos and some kitty cats that made my night.
Perhaps complementary coffee would be a good asset.
We arrived before check-in time and they gave us the keys right away with no hassle. The receptionist was very friendly.
Goedehoop Guesthouse is really wonderful accommodation. The bathroom was perfect and the bed was unbelievably comfortable. It was very clean and quiet. The garden is amazing and the people are so friendly.

Everything was very nice and we had a great stay. Only problem I had was the fact that there was no braai. We wanted to braai that evening. I mentioned it to the hostess and she brought us a braai and extra cutlery. We also booked the self-catering unit for my husband and myself plus our 3 children (I emailed to let them know our kids were coming with and their ages). There were only 2 of all the cutlery in the unit, and our family is 5 people. There could also be a little more kitchenware, e.g. casserole, drying rack for dishes, braai tongs, etc. Furthermore, we were very satisfied, thank you.

Would recommend Goedehoop anytime, we were greeted with a nice, tidy, clean and well equipped unit. It is close to the businesses, places to eat and yet very quiet and peaceful no traffic noise. Everything from arrival to departure was perfect and will definitely stay there again. Would recommend to anyone. Our unit was on its own with secure parking under a canopy.

However, exactly what they advertise would like to make the following recommendations: More than two bags of coffee, one for the evening and also for the morning please, easy chairs so that one does not have to sit on the bed all the time. Furthermore, a very neat and practical place.
The room is spacious and very comfortable. The breakfast and dinner ordered at extra cost was very good value for money. The service is excellent.

Everything was great with the guesthouse and the service. They even brought us lamps during load shedding. I would've just liked management to ask other guests to quiet down after 23:00 at night. Our neighbours were noisy till late. The guesthouse is still top notch though!

We arrived very late and left very early. Therefore I can't say much about the guesthouse, except that the bedroom was clean and comfortable. I am prepared to go back and stay for days, even recommend to my family and friends. The place is easy to get.

Due to the demand in the area, the accommodation is good. Personally, I myself prefer an upmarket place at a price that one would expect for it.

We arrived in Zeerust late in the afternoon and were pleasantly surprised with the splendor and opulence we found in the 'slightly battered street'. We were kindly received, not only by the drivers, but also by the cats and dogs. The room was very spacious - against modern minimalist spaces - and very well furnished. After a full day on the road (from Namibia), the comfortable bed with lovely linen and air conditioning was a treat. Our fully packed vehicle was safe and even though we unfortunately couldn't enjoy breakfast, due to our very early departure, we will definitely stay at Goedehoop again.

We enjoyed our stay at the guesthouse, the place was very clean and tidy. Upon arrival there was no one at reception to receive/welcome us. One of the cleaners that was there when we arrived was very friendly. The other negative is that we had no hot water for the entire weekend.

This a place to go for if you really need some quietness and relaxation. It well located next to all amenities (banks and shops) one might need during a vacation. The staff were very friendly and flexible as they allowed us to check in even if it was not yet time for check in. The room was awesome. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely recommend or stay there next time we are around Zeerust. No regrets!

Goedehoop GH is very beautiful, the rooms are spacious and comfortable. The lady who assisted us after 19:00 in the evening was so friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the place needs a bit of maintenance, but I'm sure, as a new owner she'll see to it. They advertise it as a self-catering unit but the facilities are very basic, no plates, no cutlery in the unit, but it wasn't a problem for us, we just want to give some constructive criticism. Otherwise we got some great sleep and we enjoyed watching TV.
The neat units have bathrooms to dream of - large shower and bath and everything is neatly finished. Rooms are spacious, stylishly furnished and gardens are neat. The location is two blocks from the main street and it can get noisy but the value for money and customer service makes up for it. Breakfast is not included in the guest house stay and must be booked in advance.
We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, the place is good value for money. Comfy, clean and neat. Highly recommended.
My suggestion is just to add microwaves to the rooms. The bathroom tiles need a good scrub, as well as the walls and shower walls and shower floor. Apart from that we enjoyed our stay. Thank you Adel.

Goedehoop makes one think of the past with the outward appearance. Charming, noble and sincere. Enjoyed the place very much. Although they are still upgrading, one can already see that the place is going to be quality. I have been warned about hot water pressure beforehand. If sorted out, I give the place full marks for sure.
Rooms were very clean and tidy, staff are helpful and happy to help where they can.
