Wow, what a find! The cottage was clean, neat, and had everything one needed to make you feel at home away from home. The extra length 4-poster bed was so comfortable. The wood in the cottage and at the fireplace was an absolute bonus. The views, especially of the waterfall, were awesome. It was just a pity it was too cold for a swim, but we will be back.
From the initial enquiry to the end of the stay, all of our requests were honored. The place is breathtaking, and we wish we could've stayed longer. It will be a perfect getaway for a group of friends or family traveling with kids. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back.
I would stay in this cottage again anytime. It's spacious and nice and in a very nice environment. Absolutely everything needed is in the cottage. Thank you very much for the wonderful stay!
We stayed at Goedemoed for a weekend. The rooms are well equipped, tidy and the location is beautiful. There is a lovely swimming pool and spacious lapa, as well as a playground for children. WiFi signal is good in the lounge and there is also DStv. Nice heater in the bathroom is also a plus! Our hostess was not at home in the event, but left us in the capable hands of the farm manager and his wife; she made sure we got settled and enjoyed our visit and was always available to answer questions. The farm is a short distance outside Montagu, but the roads are in good condition and we were able to come and go comfortably in a regular vehicle. We will definitely come again.
Clean, no shortcomings in cottage. Laetitia is very hospitable and makes people feel at home with all her pampering. Very peaceful and feels right at home.
Very beautiful surroundings with the most beautiful view of the mountains. Lovely braai area by the heated pool was fantastic. The silence was good for the soul. Would definitely recommend it.
The Cottage at Goedemoed is a gorgeous and well-appointed spot at the foot of a mountain in the Keisie just outside of Montagu. Communication was great from the get-go and the cottage has every amenity you will need for an overnight or a week stay. . It is located on a working farm so you do wake up to the sound of tractors and roosters. The cottage shares a swimming pool with the manor house which I, unfortunately, didn't have the opportunity to use as my stay was too short. I'll definitely be back!
Amazing scenery/location. The accommodation was perfect, clean and very well equipped. Communications regarding our stay, as well as directions and the loadshedding schedule were much appreciated. We would love to return and experience the Cottage without the rain.
The house was exactly like it is shown on the website. Although Montagu was hot, the house was always cool and the cherry on the cake was the airconditioning and the lovely pool. Over and beyond is an understatement. It was bliss to not hear traffic, we thoroughly enjoyed staying at Goedemoed Farm Cottage. I will recommend Goedemoed Farm Cottage to anyone I know, and will definitely be back.
Everything you need is there. Private pool, lapa with a braai and enough wood for braai every day. The grill is cleaned and fire packed every morning (Thanks Nkozi).

Safe, calm and peaceful. Just what the soul needs. Amazing bird life and ample open spaces to walk on the farm. Pure bliss!
Reflect is perfect for couples on their honeymoon or just in need of a romantic getaway. We got delicious biscuits and fudge and also a bottle of muscadel and dried fruit. Everything we needed was there. Reflect has a beautiful view of the pond. We had a great stay and will definitely visit Reflect again!
Lovely stay. Meet all the requirements. Leatitia welcomed us with a welcome pack so unique to Montagu.
Cottage was clean, very well equipped and the scenery was really nice. Do enquire about the road leading in as it can get tricky after some rain. A bit disappointed that the dried fruit and Muscadel did not materialize as advertised, but otherwise it was a nice weekend breakaway.
The cottage is beautifully furnished and has everything you need. The mountains are breathtaking. Enjoy wonderful hiking trails.

We had a fantastic time at the farm. The host live nearby yet we had complete privacy and use of the braai area and pool. It is tranquil and definitely a place to visit when you need some time out.
Goedemoed is beautiful! We could not have found a better place to spend Christmas. There is so much attention to detail. Will definitely be going back.
If you want to drink coffee and see the sun rise, hear the wildlife in the morning (5h15) and see the mountains change color, then this is the place. You come to rest and with the rest comes contentment with life. We enjoyed it and are sure others will too, we miss it already.
