It was a pui getaway. We were booked for the rondavel, but were moved by the hostess to the Damhuis because it has a fireplace. What a good decision. The view was breathtakingly beautiful and the ducks and birds contributed to a picture-perfect morning coffee. The place itself is well equipped with quality appliances and the hostess has thought of the finest details (such as matches and blitz which we forgot) to make the stay pleasant. The place is very neat and nicely furnished. We will go back again if the city squeezes us and needs a breather.

The stay on the farm was very nice. We would go back again anytime. The air conditioning in the room was a bonus with the hot weather.
We had a wonderful and peaceful stay. Friendly and welcoming staff and owner on arrival, very peaceful and clean cottage.
We had a lovely walk on the beautiful farm and were even allowed to pick fruit, so fresh from the farm. We were there over New Years and they gave us a bottle of Brut Rosé as a gift.

Our stay in the Dam unit was very peaceful and pleasant. The unit was tidy and well equipped with everything one would normally need. The beautiful view over the dam certainly contributed to the calm, peaceful environment and the ducklings were always good company for us. However, the two units (the Dam and the Stable) are very close to each other and in our opinion would be ideal for a family gathering.
It was a very beautiful setting. The bed, however, was very hard. It was like a cement block, and that's no exaggeration. We didn't sleep well during our stay. We were also woken up by loud banging on the roof on our first morning. There were contractors installing cameras around the cottages.

Very peaceful and quiet on a working farm. The cottage is fully equipped with everything (iron too). The view of the pond and how the fish jump up was something to behold. Overall I would recommend if you just want to be quiet.
Very neat and beautiful place. Will definitely be back. I would advise to take something for mosquitoes and/or would advise the owner to perhaps have a mosquito net over the bed.
Goedereede Guest Farm was a perfect setting, and the farm was centrally located for visits to the Robertson valley and surrounding towns. Fabulous hiking trails in the region. The facilities at the farm were excellent with particular attention to detail, even over the Christmas period.
Had a great time on the most fantastic farm. The greenery and plants were really something to behold. I would like to visit the farm again with my daughters. Know they will really enjoy it.

What a gem. At the end of our holiday we stayed here for 3 nights. If we had known it was so beautiful we would have wanted to be there longer for sure. Clean and excellent service. From the gifts on our pillows to our delicious gifts delivered for Christmas Day! Now that's country hospitality. Would recommend it!
We had a very nice stay, we stayed near the dam. The place was very neat and clean. There is a nice view of the dam and in the evenings a nice sunset. The people on the farm are very friendly and the owner was very helpful. We will definitely go back again.
Corner Cottage is super private and makes one feel super secure and relaxed. It has a beautiful private garden, an extremely comfortable bed, and everything one needs for a breakaway.
It was wonderful to experience nature on the farm. Although we had unusually cold weather and lots of rain, we were very comfortable in the cottage. At least we were able to have a little barbecue and walk on the farm the first day. The wine farms are a stone's throw away. We could watch World Cup rugby in a nice warm bed (electric blankets). When we checked out we were offered to stay another day for free until the roads were safe (many roads were closed due to floods). We didn't take advantage of the offer, but it just shows the hostess's heart. We can recommend Goedereede Guest Farm with a happy heart.
The WiFi signal from our unit was not very strong and we used our neighboring unit's (where friends of ours stayed) WiFi.
It was wonderful to be able to walk on the farm and enjoy the tranquility. The houses are spacious and well equipped.

A great time at Goedereede Guest Farm.
This is a beautiful cottage on the dam wall. The host is friendly and professional. Everything was spotless and functional. Probably one of the best farm stays in the area. One issue which, if corrected, would make this the perfect stay, 6 stars. There is no water during loadshedding. We can live without electricity but water, not so much. An easy solution would be a gravity feed tank.
It was nice and close to the wedding venue and other places we wanted to visit.

Everything was 10/10, from the arrangements ahead of time to the beautiful and spotless accommodation (ducks coming to say hello was an added bonus) and then of course the beautiful scenery. We had the most relaxing weekend at Goedereede Guest Farm. The Dam Cottage was just perfect for a couple. Being right on the dam, my husband was in his element fishing, while I relaxed reading on the patio - whilst still being together. The cottage was clean, and well-equipped. Would definitely love to return.
Had a wonderful stay in Die Damhuisie. Place was very neat with all the facilities one could look for. Braai area is sheltered and air conditioner could stand its man against the worst heat. Would definitely recommend and go there again myself.
We were received very kindly and immediately felt at home. The unit on the dam was fantastic. The walk through the farm's orchards and vineyards up to the Breede River was unforgettably enjoyable.

A large swimming pool and massive grounds for bike rides takes the energy out of kids. We took advantage of the warm evenings by going for sunset walks around the farm orchards, sometimes with the farm dog leading the way. Location: about 10km from Robertson town center where a visit to the Four Cousins restaurant for lunch is a must. Cyclist note: lots of devil thorns so fill up the kid's inner tubes with sealant.

We had a lovely relaxing weekend in the Dam cottage. Everything is clean and tidy. The beautiful view of the pond and fields was wonderful, especially with the thunder in the background. Even the ducks in the pond came to hang out on the porch with us. The farm is close to Robertson and all the surrounding small towns with the most beautiful wine farms. I will definitely suggest it to friends and family, but next time there will have to be a fishing rod in the water because the fish actually jump out of the water.

The attention to detail in the cottage is amazing and wonderful! Until the shower is as nice as the one at home. We didn't need anything and were so nice at home and warm with the fireplace! We had a wonderful, relaxing week at Goedereede, enjoying early-morning runs and long sunset walks through the beautiful orchards. Although tighter lockdown restrictions were imposed during our stay, there were still enough activities to enjoy on the farm and in the Robertson area.

From the time that we arrived and met Christine, the owner, we were thoroughly impressed by the her friendliness and that of the staff,Nothing was too much trouble and we were made to feel really relaxed. The chalet was well equipped and with the aircon in the bedrooms, one could hardly want more. The walks we took on the farm trails were really scenic and enjoyable, when we were at times treated by their ever so friendly dog, who would show us the way. For the animal lover they also have 2 cats, ducks and chickens on the farm.There were also quite a few extras thrown in which was so nice (biscuits, chocs, shampoo, etc). Highly recommended, and we hope to go back soon!

Stable Cottage is excellently equipped and spotlessly clean, with everything one could need, beautiful linen and comfortable seating, and even a convenient little table with mirror, power point etc. for hair blow drying, something that one gets very rarely. The view of the pond is fantastic, and the welcome is excellent, with enough wood for the fireplace and the braai, and a biscuit on the bed. Enough coffee, tea etc. for the whole weekend and beautiful, neat crockery. My husband and I are both hypercritical and were pleasantly surprised. If we really have to criticize, we'd like bigger bath towels and a reading lamp in the living room, but it's not serious. What is also excellent is that it is spelled out clearly in advance in an email what is not available there and what you have to bring yourself.
Perhaps a bit pricy in comparison to other similar but more modern and new venues.

From the outside, the rondavel may look small, but inside there is more than enough space. It is very peaceful and not far from the town at all. There is a heater, an air-con and an electric blanket, so getting cold was not a problem. Easy to get in and out.

Large modern unit with a beautiful view conveniently located 10 minutes from Robertson on a good road. We struggled with the lock to the unit that needs to be repaired and couldn't find matches for our braai. Otherwise, the unit had everything that we needed.
My Mom and I enjoyed our stay immensely at Goedereede Guest Farm. Tranquil getaway with everything we needed. We did miss the TV, but we’re probably better off for not having it. We felt safe and enjoyed the company of the dogs and ducks. Close enough to Robertson for all your needs.

We received a very friendly welcome and were so happy when we were able to get the unit overlooking the dam. Environment is beautiful. Room is beautifully decorated. We were able to rest here after a day of driving around. It was peach season and the hostess offered us a bowl full of fresh peaches. Delicious. Will use and recommend this accommodation again and again.

We had a great time at Goedereede. The accommodation was clean and definitely well equipped - the fireplace was stocked with wood so we could braai without getting our own. The resident dog (Merlot) enjoyed playing with us but was also well behaved and not annoying! Finally, the location was also great - never more than ten minutes to all the nearby winefarms. Thanks for a great stay.

At Goedereede you experience what matters. Friendly reception. Clean and tidy facilities. A bed and bedding of excellent quality, after all you come to rest. Located on working farm where you can roam freely to experience it. Finally, nature is all around you, lawn, pond, ducks, sheep dog, variety of fruits and a short walk from the Breë River.

Nine of us enjoyed a memorable Christmas at this scenically located, interesting venue. We occupied 3 comfortable, well-equipped cottages. The children were able to fish, swim and canoe/tube in the Breede River. The Robertson area has lots to offer in wine-tasting, cuisine and nature trails. Our hosts, Christine and Celliers were outstanding and I happily recommend this guest farm venue to interested parties.
They weren't expecting me and had to prepare the Dam Huis quicky. I didn't mind because a delicious bottle of wine with their logo awaited my arrival. Very nice stay.

The kitchen definitely needs a "make-over" because the cupboards smell like mold and the kitchenware was not clean. The grater was rusted and could not be used at all. The only plus was the clean bedding.
